  • I agree with Naveen on this, because of this bottom feeder, the reporter is giving every single DJ out there a bad name. Pay after the event, my arse. This reporter should have spoken to a top class DJ before opening her mouth so that they can teach the public what to look for in a DJ. There's high end and ass end DJs. You get what you pay for at the end of the day... I will do anything for my clients to make sure they have 200% satisfaction on their special day... But I don't come cheap either.

  • This is also completely one side of the story. Does she have any video from the event to back up her claims?

  • where is everyone getting $700 from? it says "total services is $400" - that is what I saw @0.28

  • you get what you pay for...... that is 1/2 if not 1/3 of the going rate these days for a dj... what did you expect???

  • I was scammed by the same low-life DJ. I tried calling him a month before the wedding to go over our songs, and his phone was disconnected. I tried emailing him via his website. No response. Thankfully I ONLY lost out on $100, but $100 is $100. No one should sign a contract with UGA Entertainment.

  • i would helped her out for free i realy would compleet set up and every thing

  • I think what the D.J. did was bad and she got in the common pit a lot of clients do when they get a Cheap D.J. ..But I have more issue with the Reporert what makes her a expert on Special Event Services. ..This why we have to be very good in business as D.J.s To be able to give clients the right information .

  • I'd have him in small claims court a.s.a.p. He signed the contract, he is legally obligated to perform. I would guess that (the replacement dj) was a last minute fill in that received $200.00 out of that $400.00 contract. That is known as Farming Out, or Brokering. Get em Stuart,, Get em. Ahhh disregard,, they have MY photos of a Chicago event on their website. So I have to send them a Cease and Assist or I'll sue them for you. Off to send them a nice email!

  • Who is this DJ and where is he from?

  • THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A BOTTOM FEEDER SON OF A DJ. I use to be a DJ until I turn my company into a Sound, Lighting, video, Entertainment production company.

  • I've seen this many times over the years. A Bride will call and say that her DJ left her high and dry. How could you leave one client for another just for the money. Thats crazy. If you need the money that bad get a part time job...lol. My lil bro & I run our family biz and we are the only two Djs you will get. I never out source work and risk my companys good name we've worked to hard for that.

  • Good point TheJefft63 about the market determining the price. This happened in Detroit where people are scraping 4 work, however in the video it looks like they had a Photo Booth at their Wedding, those are costly no matter what market you are in... AND they seem to be happy in the photos & not like someone claiming the Wedding was ruined & that she was constantly crying in the restroom! That seems fishy to me... Also, they show a bit of the contract; pause and look at term #4, interesting...

  • subbed out the job, certainly he should have made theat DJ aware of all of the music that was required for the night, and should have givin him the correct address. As far as getting paid before or after an event. That's everyone else's choice. I like to be paid AFTER the gig, because of the possiblity of overtime $ or a tip!

  • Let's not forget that certain markets produce certain prices that DJ's can get for a wedding. I've been doing this for 17 years now, and sometimes, not all the time if I quote a Bride & Groom say $800.00 bucks, and I never get the gig, and maybe, thier not for me. Let them hire a bottom feeder. However, we also don't know the entire story about the DJ that she booked. Was the guest list 50 or 350? Was there a light show? How much gear was needed to setup? And finally, if the Dj that she hired

  • i know i totally watched that! cept i did not agree with the reporter telling all the brides out there not to pay their balances until the end of the night...

  • The report where you claimed the dj ruined the wedding? The bride ruined her own wedding by being cheap! I've been a dj for 33 years and the rate she paid total is closer to the retainer fee a professional would charge. It's too bad people don't prioritize when hiring wedding vendors... I'm not excusing the no show, but I am defending hiring professionals!!!

  • As a Professional Wedding DJ, I always say: "Hiring a DJ for your Wedding is like buying a bottle of Tequila... If you settle for the cheapest one, you will be crying the next day..." Like this Bride did... Don't walk into Micky D's and order a Fillet O' Fish and expect Fillet Mignon!

  • @aftashok1 UGA entertainment got put on BLAST!!!

  • You get what you pay for. $400 for a wedding DJ? Are you serious?

  • this is why you don't hire a DJ for $400.00 It's guys like this that us weddings DJs a bad name.

  • That sucks... yeah once u sign a contract with that client you must be there not a replacement... and for the replacement dj im sure he was running some kind of laptop and he could of gotton the music off of somewhere... its shouldn't of been someone from the party giving you music to play...buy luckly for the lady to save the brides day,,,

  • wow

  • Ok As a DJ this is why you don't cheap out on your DJ, also most DJ's do not press play until they are paid however I get paid at the begining of the night after I am finished setting up, also make sure it says the actual dj's name that is to perform at the function. $400 for a wedding DJ i am so sorry the event got ruined but you get what you payfor and she paid for an unprofesional hack!!!

  • What a d bag. Once you sign a contract he is in an agreement to be there, he can't send replacement DJ. Why did she agree for replacement DJ?

Even though I feel bad for the Bride I think it's her mistake for agreeing for replacement DJ. Should have drag the DJ to small claim court and get full refund.

  • I'm glad the bridesmaid had an iPhone with songs on it. But on the flip side, the news anchor is an idiot! In most cases payment is DUE in full before starting services. Because if I'm not paid, then I dont play.

  • @djboentertainment Yes DJ Bo, i agree with you 100%! Its still awful how the DJ couldnt commit to his clients, but on the payment side, yes the event should be payed in full before that play button is pushed! How i do it is i make sure everything is all payed up before i start bringing by gear into the venue and setting up. I do not trust the pay half now half later because there is a good chance you wont get the full payment.

  • wow!
