Gosh! Reminds me of when I tried to synthesize this piece on a Commodore 64 and realized having only three voices wasn't going to cut it. It sounds much better played on this organ, you can bet on it. Great job!
Fell in love with this piece when I first heard it years ago on the record album Switched-On Bach by Walter Carlos where he was playing the pieces on a Moog Synthesizer. It was amazing listening to it on one of the first synthesizers. This guy Doug Marshall is really talented.
The trumpets used in Bach's day were "overpowering" as well, as they were natural trumpets and thus very brilliant in sound. I suspect old man Bach probably reveled in that sound, as well as the difficulty that was inherent in achieving it.
This is about as good as it gets! Great playing and the organ sounds mighty fine...who would have thought an electronic could be this good? Thanks for posting...hope there will be many more to come!
Amazing!

Makes for interesting comparison with Nathan Laube's performance on M&O Opus 1 - available as a video (of his whole recital) on his website.

Love this piece. Trumpets were a little overpowering, but otherwise good balance.
