510 CI with tiny little turbo's? Look how small the compressors are ... what are they like 25R's? a Twin turbo 510 CI that will be running 18 psi would need at least 35R's ... maybe even 40R's ... at 18 psi a 510 would have to make around 1400+ hp and I dont see these little turbos doing that ... just my 2 cents .. clean setup though. Does it have a water to air built into the manifold?
In the DCB or nordics eliminators an such they have twin viper motors with twin super chargers, alot of the issue is the offshore style exaust, super chargers look cooler an you dont gotta hack up a set of 8 thousand dollar exaust..
@TheOfficialKC its diffrent becuase its forced induction.....if u put ur hand near a regular intake....on a non turbo engine...u feel slight suction......but on a turbo....it would suck ur hand straight in......just like it would do to water...

i like the idea of the turbos on a jet-boat, thats the perfect setup, if you do the math rite, and get the perfect turbo setup, you can make alot of top-end power, just what a boat needs. Not only that, the turbos queit it down just rite to were it sounds good. I think thos 6-71 blown' jet boats with zoomies are just to damn load. the twin turbo idea is awsome tho, i would get a GM 350ci vortec engine, with a megasquirt ecu, twin turbo it and put it in a boat. The vortecs are great turbo'd

The benefit of superchargers is no turbo lag when coming out of off throttle which is not an issue in boats. Twin Turbos make more power which is much more important on a boat. I want to see a boat, like a DCB, with an engine from Nelson Racing Engines. 427 Twin Turbo with 1500+hp. Or a 2000hp Big Block.

@taerina You can do it easily but not inexpensively. A good old built Chevy Powerglide transmission will do the job and do it well. And you don't need a big prop either. Geared correctly a 9 inch prop will do wonders, especially with sufficient cubic inches and horsepower. With only a single gear change from Low to High the Powerglide feels just like you were launched from a catapult when it hits High range.

I love the turbo setups, as i described why in my other comment, another thing i like better about the turbo then a blower, theres noe belts! thats one less thing to worry about breaking, plus you dont have to worry about your old' lady's hair getting sucked in the belts, or her thong-g-string's. But that wouldnt be a bad thing really. lol.

Looks like a fun ride, i got to drive a flat bottom V drive boat, had a 468 BBC in it ,duel carbs tunnel ram, made 630HP.i fixed it for this guy and he would not take it wide open, lets just say i scared the hell outa him in his own boat!, lol i brought it up to about 95 near 100 MPH, was a kick, had to wipe the bugs off my face but was a good rush.
no such thing as overkill when your talking about boating. thats awsome i would really like to hear the motor work, sounds great but not ran near hard enough. awsome video though
