  • THE AB DICK 360 IS THE BEST DUPLICATOR EVER BUILT.................

  • I like this video. I'm not a printer, but...I own an AB Dick Spirit Duplicator--one of the small-scale duplicators used in schools and churches. I have always been fascinated with those machines...and recently I took two broken machines and built one fully functional machine. The mechanical ingenuity, as well as the speed of these machines just puts me in awe.

  • This video is misleading because I am the best Printer in the world for over 35 years. I have operated 1250's 1850's, 14 and 1650's Multi's with T Heads, Operated the old TCS Electrostatic System, You know the one's that was totally automated that shot the plate right up to the plate clamp, (a long time ago you puppies) I have seen all the changes to printing to this day. The only difference is I know everything too, but I know all the old stuff too. I WIN!!!

  • heck last little press shop i worked in the boss expected me to

run two presses at twice this speed

  • @hopdoehop I still do that, did it today, made over 80 impressions , on a good day can do up to 1000,00. Not too bad for an old Printer. Can run circles around you young snots!

  • I was thinking the same thing my boss would kick my ass for running that slow.

  • @floridasurfer08 Darn right, it's us old Printer's who set the standard, now you got to live up to it. Sorry but we did set the bar.

  • @floridasurfer08 durn right on that!!!

  • try a MAN ROLAND 700

  • Just print some money already....

  • @madjimms Don't think I haven't thought about it, and then thought about sitting in prison for a mandatory 20 year federal sentence. When I was young I had the guts but no skill, now that I'm old, got the skill but no guts, Go figure! And I am a great Printer too, I could pull it off If I wanted to , just don't want to. I never felt a great need to go around and cheat anyone.

  • i was thinking about buying an ab-

dick press, but, i think i´ll buy another multilith press, or maybe a davidson. i agree with nikeboy72 , i think is dangerous. a friend of mine get stucked a chain on a davidson press, he was wearing a loose t-shirt, he bend to pick up something, and one of the chain bands get one of the corners of the shirt. Also my father had an accident on a multilith, one of his fingers get broken just because he was on a hurry, (thank god the finger is still on his hand)

  • Best in the world????ROFLMAO!!!!!

    DUDE!!!

You couldn't even be my ink fountain bitch!!!!

Why don't you turn that thing up above 4000 imph!!!

  • the first thing i noticed was the jewelry and loose clothing? that was the first thing i was taught running a press.

  • @nikeboy72 Yeah, I can't even measure a sheet of paper without putting my apron on, putting my hair up, and tucking in my hoodie strings. :)

  • I take that back I think its a 9810

  • I'm a senior at a technical high school this year, and I believe the Press I run is an AB Dick 9850......maybe not its 98 something hahaha. I really hope this isn't a dying trade becuase I love what I do and enjoy running that press Because its very tempermental and seems to have grown to like me over everyone else

  • Nice one.Thank you.

  • I ran an antique 350 back in in Cuba. That speed would have been top end for it. The form rollers were so bad we packed both blanket and plate cylinders with inner tubes.

  • you don't iven know mee

  • bet it took a week to fill up the delivery tray..keeps you busy but like the others say i would be looking for a new job if my boss saw me running that slow..but to be honest folks it is a small machine and it wouldnt run that much faster anyway

  • I own the shop and b) it is small and old machine. it will go faster but there is no reason to do so;)

  • @nospa21 Let's face it a ABDick is a small press that doesn't revolve real fast. As a Printer who has operated Multi's all my working life, I do have to say I prefer a Multi. It's the mustang of the small presses, got to admit that. I am now working in a shop that only has AB's , don't get me wrong, get paid real well, glad to have a job, but I swear, ain't nothing like a 1650 going full boar with a THead. A sight to see, and a sound like thunder! Miss it, but AB's are good too, it pays my rent.

  • Id be fired if i ran it that slow

  • c'mon guys, any sense of humour anyone?

  • I am confused... so what makes this guy the best???

  • any longer running time and my clothes will go out of style

  • I just bought a 9910 XCS and it has the super aqua sys on it. Im having problems getting water to the plate.Iv checked the roller settings everything seems to be ok.The paper plates clean up better than the metal plates do but im still running the water max or have to spay it with a spray bottle to keep it clean. What should i check and what type of Etch are you guys using? Thanx for any help!

  • Never had such problem mate, neither had a damping system on this machine. wish i could help.

  • Check your fountain solution mixture. It needs at least 25% alcohol(99% pure). Also remember paper plates are sometimes thicker than metal plates. Make sure your water fountain and and your chrome roller are always clean and never have ink.

  • Started when instant paper plates first arrived on the printing scene, late '60's. Left the last AB Dick in Chicago, a 9850. Entire industry has changed.

But to answer your question: check for overhead fans blowing, air-conditioning, heating, near open doorways. A particular waft of continuous air on that very cylinder where the plate is can be the problem. After you've done the aforementioned, then the spray bottle is the answer until you finally find the real solution, chemically, or...?

  • I would be running that faster on the wash up, maybe he thinkd hes saving INK , lol

  • Looks like a 9810.

  • It is!

  • That may be as fast as the thing will go. It seems a lot of the controls are gone!

  • running that slow and still cant deliver right. he might want to apply for the drivers spot

  • What is that about 3000/hour? I don't think I've ever tried to run one that slow, even when washing it.

  • He's wearing a necklace that dangles into the machinery when he leans over. Not too smart!

  • Thanks for the comment. You are 100% right.

He always forget to take it of...
