    Stephane.

  • @stephanegiovannelli Thanks Stephane - very nice coming from a player of your ability.

  • Glad to see your back in the game Lance. I can hear the soft vibs of the percussion and the piano going on this one, maybe a bass sax to. Nice tune Lance.

  • @AcousticPhases Thanks AP.. I'm fortunate to have a band that plays this. No keyboards but a great tenor sax player. Thanks for the visit.

  • And I forgot to say - that this is a beautiful song! Love that cool jazzy feel to this one.

  • Glad you're only doing originals, Lance. You're a fine musician, fine songwriter. The originals are always my favorites on youtube.

  • @suuzzee5 Thanks Suze. Someday I'll get my act together for that video collaboration. Seems I'm always trying to catch up with what I would like to do.

  • Nice!!! great job thumbs up.

  • @PeterBullOlsson Thank you Sir.

  • Excellent song and performance Lance! All class Sir! Most enjoyed! Cheers!

  • @EdMuirton Thank you my good man, thank you. :o)

  • begger me , I hardly recognized you, you look younger today, nice to know eh!!

and a great video to reshare , it is actually a good idea to go back and resend, as you are going to have more hits from people who never go back through your whole playlist, most of us are so shallow we only ever take the newest video in, and from there on when we subscribe, the latest one we never dig too deep, is that shallow or what lol, nice one my friend, don't let the baskets grind you down lol.55555

  • @beachfrontal Thanks David. I am using the sharing method you suggested and it seems to be working fine. Thanks for that and this nice comment.

  • if ya ever get round to it, (jazz version) I volunteer the pipes!....good to hear from you Lance....on the screen and ear!

originals really are the best....;-), and you are one o'dem.

    sounds great!

    XOs, Laurie

  • @cinderellalifestyle Hey Laurie, so nice to hear from you again. I'm sure we'll stay connected.

  • i remember this tune...wat a fine guitar you gots !!

  • Sounds great - I would like to listen to your music accompained by real musicians.

    Do you like Len Cohen?

  • @2009framat "Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there is a crack, a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in." Leonard Cohen? Who's that?..... other than my own personal songwriting hero. Thanks for the comment.

  • Great song!,,thanks for sharing!

  • @acgboxorig You bet. Thanks for listening.

  • Sounds like a good jazz "group" and singer just did something with it.....IMHO.

  • @bigbeninjax I would be honored to have a really good singer sing this. Thanks Ben.

  • Love to listen to good music like this, Archie: This is really good, the songwriting is superb and the feeling is there

    Hats off!

    Rick

  • @bios36 Takes good ears and you've got 'em Rick. Thanks a lot.

  • This is a really fine and VERY catchy tune! Easy to remember... They really dont write them like that anymore it seems..

it sounds so natural and musical almost as if has always been around and just had to be written Your playing both acc and single lines on guitar is perfect. Congratulations! Howard

  • @howardmorgen Thanks so much Howard. I'm hoping my other songs on my channel achieve that goal as well. It is a good way of describing what I'm after.

  • My friend, cool music... Great !!! Congratulations...

  • @artBettiol Thanks from one artist to another.

  • Lance,

I'm glad to see you back.

I like the melody and the harmony. This is some sophisticated blues. Very melodic improv that fits the melody well. The lyrics tell a story that many of us have experienced at one time or another. Bravo Sir.

  • @carvetop01 Hey my old pal. Your comments are so valuable to me. I know you wouldn't blow smoke at me so if you like it and say so, I can believe you do. I have so much new material it is going to take a while to get all of them posted.

  • when i get time id love to record a mandolin track to this and send to you, this is a very nice groove

  • Be my guest. :o)

  • Wonderful! Jealous of the nice guitar.

  • It's a 1946 Gibson L-7... I've had it for about 30 years. It gets lots of comments.

  • Love the sound of this - listened to it twice! Five stars and saving to my favourites.

  • How nice. Thank you so much.

  • beautiful guitar,I love this groove!

    great lyrics too:)

    you're fabulous*****

  • Thank you vocalbrush - I've got to re-record this one day with other musicians. I'll get around to it.

  • Cool groove. Clever lyrics. Dig it!

  • Thank you berry much.

  • Bassa Nova,...yeah! Now i wanna go to Ipanema for a swim!

  • Man you're makin' the rounds today. Thanks for taking in so many of my videos.

  • sweet song Lance.

  • Thanks man. I would write you directly but youtube has my mail messed up. Glad you like the song.

  • Put me in touch with that movie producer. If you have an in with Al Gore or Leonardo DiCaprio my next song is a perfect anthem to their environmental cause. I'll keep you posted. Thanks.

  • Wow! This is the second of your songs that I've listened to and you are batting 2 for 2. I really like your song writing Great Lyric and Great Music too. This song just feels like would work well as a movie soundtrack.

  • :) Good Job!

  • You've got a good concept going there. When I get some time I'll submit something.

  • Hey, Thanks!

  • Is that a D'Armond floating pickup? It looks similar to the one I use on my Vega.

  • Yep - 1952 to be exact. Gets a sound I have never been able to get any other way. Cool you noticed.

  • Love this !!

  • Amazing...I love it!Do you know Gordon Haskell?

  • Thanks slow hand. Glad you like bossas and nice chords. Watched/listened to your piece but system wouldn't take my comment. I love doing pretty things on strats and Les Pauls. It is a dynamic of those instruments that is very neglected. You did a good job. No, I don't know Gordon Haskell... should I?

  • Yes,I think so... ;)

"Harry's Bar" by him...then let me know what you think 'bout it.
