Buy a new slim HDD shell off of Ebay or Amazon, put HDD from old Xbox 360 HDD case in the new slim HDD enclosure. Boom. Problem solved, no flimsy bounciness.

Cus I'm a very impatient individual, I used some bootleg "tools" to open this sucker (steak knife, fork, wrench as a hammer) I don't recommend none of that unless you're REALLY careful with the drive... oh and yourself. Wow thanks a ton!! Worked like a charm! I didn't have my xbox packaging stuff still, so I folded over those grip pad things you can buy (to open jars, etc), that look like beads strung together in a mat sorta, then wrapped tape around it, and it squished down just perfect that I didn't even have to use glue or anything like that! You saved my ass, I'm unemployed until I can find something again and had no way to see videos in NHL 12, or see better graphics in Battlefield 3, etc! Thanks!!

You can't get banned I called Microsoft and asked them about it when I registered my console. The guy did say you could get banned but it was probably a scare tactic. I asked how would Microsoft be able to detect it? And he said he had no idea! If they could, it would be an invasion of privacy. That's like saying somebody can snoop around your pc hard drive! Which is highly illegal. Not to mention it's an official Microsoft HD.

I didn't have a torx wrench so i used a small alen key and filed each side down just a little so it would fit in the case screws, then once i got into the HD I just used another alen key without filing it and it fits.. great vid

@ALLDAYgamingTV lol I took it apart my old hard drive with a flat head screw drive the key is to try to pry the edges slowly until it starts getting lose then work on the bolt's until the bolts go through the plastic VWUALA there you go. NOW THIS THIS IS A ONE WAY DEAL SINCE YOU WOULD BE BREAKING YOUR CASE DURING THIS PROCESS. You do need a 10 torch to take the bolts apart from the next part unless you really want to risk fucking up you hard drive.
