I don´t get why If plato wrote the dialogue between Parmenides and Socrates (where Parmenides clearly proved to young Socrates how materialism is the only way of thought) he still believes that ideas are more perfect than the unobtainable truth.
Ideas are in each one´s mind, they do exist as much as all exists and they also suffer the same transformations. Why is so hard to accept the perfection of being one and not just you.
Thinking Christians are in fact, to some degree, platonists. St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Bonaventure, most of the Church Fathers before 400 AD etc, were all in some form or another, Platonists. Good video though.
