This is the poster Doctor for the "system" that needs people to stay sick so he can make that big paycheck while protecting his God complex and his right to harm people with drugs and get away with it . Love the monogrammed bathrobe it goes great with his arrogance...LOL.
Samantha, I feel honored that you left a comment. Samantha is an NGH Cert. Hypnotist, Minister, Lecturer, Instructor, Trad. Usui Reiki Master/Teacher & Psychic Medium. Wow!
This is what happens when our western medically trained (sheeple) people feel threatened because they missed the mark in whole being healing. They are used to giving pills to treat symptoms until those pills break down the whole body, and in the meantime make lots of money off the people before they die. I am happy Dr. Oz is presenting whole being healing. This quack has such arrogance and think he knows everything..lol can't wait to find out when he realizes he was wrong! Jackass LOL!!
Just the fact that you're smoking while you're speaking gives you zero credibility if you're in the medical industry. You clearly have a disconnect somewhere. I can't imagine anyone would take you very serious. You seem to exhibit strong 'oppositional disorder' traits.
@ArizonaSunday He's not credible because he's smoking? How stupid of a refutation is that? That can be likened to you not trusting a heart surgeon because he eats deep dish pizza regularly. Then you appear to regard yourself as his internet psychologist after watching a 7 min video. In general, most alternative medicine is nowhere near an equal alternative. It doesn't produce similar results, the results produced aren't as reliable or predictable, and it appears to thrive on testimonials.
I am just laughing at your stupidity, Reiki is REAL you may not believe it but you don't need to attack Dr Oz or anybody else who believes in Reiki or any other complementary practice that has no harm or treat to traditional medicine.
I'm amazed at the level of dismissive ignorance on the part of alopathic medical minds. Are all Reiki people legit or intelligent? No. But seriously, the more I hear about how much the left-brainers "know" what's true and the right brainers are "wackos" the more I'm just not interested in what you have to say. So congratulations my friends. You have officially discredited yourselves in the eyes of the adventurous few.
When I hear of someone having energy treatment as well as standard medical treatment, the first thought that comes to my mind is, " Oh, well, at least they're not relying on energy treatment alone. The trouble with offering both treatments at the same time, though, is that some people will credit the energy treatment alone as being responsible for their recovery, when it was really the medical treatment that cured them.
From a pure "medical" point of view energy treatment is probably moot. The placebo effect, though, might be more efficient from some witch-doctor crap than from standard (but scientifically proven) medicine treatment.
This does not mean that I am in favor of "energy treatment" or some non-scientific baloney but I believe that traditional medicine should try to utilize the placebo effect more than they do today (combined with tested drugs, of course).
Another note: I noticed that I wrote "traditional medicine" as opposed to "alternate medicine" or whatever.
The truth is that "traditional medicine" is less than 100 years old where most "alternate medicine" is much older and have never proven to have any other effect than placebo.
So it should really be "modern medicine" and not "traditional". It's the alternate treatments that are "traditional". Really.
"but I believe that traditional medicine should try to utilize the placebo effect more than they do today"
The problem with this is that there are too many people out there who are already relying solely on "alternative medicines", and their position is strengthened because people don't seem to understand that when you take something and feel better, it's not necessarily due to the last thing you did. It leads to more people forgoing scientific based medicine in favor of the cups of water.
@DickensianDreams Good point. How true. But what a sad reality. That is one factor that keeps people wasting their hard-earned money and allows charlatans or sincere but deluded practitioners to stay in practice.
Propaganda. You are a witch doctor if you think Reiki is bad.

1) Ewwww. This guy is a creep in need of a haircut, teeth whitening, and fumigation.
2) I had to endure his nonsensical babbling to count his overuse of the word, "uhhhhh" which he said a total of 41 times. Annoying.
3) It's gross to watch people talk as smoke is pouring out of their mouths.
4) Good luck with your cancer treatments, gross robe guy.
5) Epic gag...I bet his house smells like the combination between a bowling alley and an antique store.

Dr. Steve Barrett , by the way is against anything natural and if you read his web site it is filled with misinformation especially concerning Reiki.
I was a non- believer of energy medicine until I tried it. REIKI WORKS! It may not work for everyone. At least try it before discounting it.
So Geo238c if/when you swap your robe for a hospital gown ask if Reiki is available. Try it, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I say we let these Reiki people have their certification process!
As part of that certification process, it should be necessary to prove efficacy that we ask of everything else... Or at least, we should...
