@jlvi13 Hi, great channel and really good instructions. I've been practidsing the L sit hoping to move onto the V sit, I can now hold an L sit for almost 10 seconds. The problem is I get a really bad pain in my elbow. Is this a technique issue or flexibility?
@1TheMarshall Send me a personal message with age, lenght, weight, history of injuries / illness related to nutrition, nutrition allergies and your current nutrition habits. It is a little bit to complicated to explain everything in these small 500 character boxes.
@1TheMarshall If you want sixpack abs you will need to reduce bodyfat. Doing exercises (apart from lifting weights and doing some cardio to burn calories and increase musclemass) has little to do with having a 6pack. You'll need to create a shortage of energy (calories) in order to force your body to use stored bodyfat to burn as energy.
@1TheMarshall Perform superslow repetitions. Take 3 to 5 seconds to go up and 3 to 5 seconds to go down. Besides that, choose heavier exercises. Perform one legged squats, knuckle hip push ups, crunches, hanging leg raises etc. The exercises you are talking about are beyond easy if you are in decent shape. There are way more challenging exercises to do with bodyweight. There are some on my channel as well, so you might want to have a look at my uploads.
hey i just have a general question? i dont lift a lot of weights so i was wondering if i can really obtain strength through push-up and sit-up exercises? well i guess my real question is did you lift a lot of weights to be able to do this?
@hawkFantastic1 I could do this when I was about 16 (although with bad form and only for a few seconds), but I didn't lift weights back then. So yes. Push ups and sit ups (do crunches instead!) are fairly easy, so if you can do 20+ you should make it more difficult by performing them really slow (3+ seconds for the negative and 3+ seconds for the positive movement; so down and up) or adding some weight and do advanced bodyweight exercises.
@jlvi13 hmmm...so true....I've had an easier time when My legs are crossed....or when my legs are only in an l position.....I can't quite hold the v sit.....It's just too much for me...I'm broad and bulky...not as slim or fit as you.
@brandongunn77 Gymnasts aren't slim as I am, but can do it as well. It's about ab strenght and some leg flexibility. I'm more bulky then I was in that video now though. It's already 7 months ago I made that video :)
@ps3nikola Nope, I already am to busy. The problem with me is that I often want to do 5 things at a time. It simply doesn't work, so I decided to give up the idea of practising martial arts :)
@suckmyarsebl Only High intensity Interval Training. Rope skipping and sprinting basicely. I cycle a lot as well, but that's because I deliver mail at the moment. I always enjoyed cycling though! For rope skipping I use an intense routine where I jump 10x 1 minute and rest 30 seconds in between. I'm going to upload a video about that soon I think! For sprinting it's just going as fast as I can running uphill and repeat that for about 6 times. For the rest I do some freerunning and shadow boxing.
Well, I've been able to do the L sit for a long time now and I don't think I can do 30 triangle push ups because I dont do them much xD! I guess I can do 15 leg raises now but not when I started doing it, it really depends on the person.
I like to do the L sit because you train a lot of muscles in very little time, if you do it on your fingers train them too! (you shouldn't try until they're strong enought though) The easiest one for me is 4:09 and the hardest one the last
@Sauw1 That's right. You don't always have to reach the 30 push ups or 15 leg raises, but it's just what I think is something you should be able to get close to. How's your V-sit going Sauw?
@jlvi13 The V sit is waaay harder than the L sit, at least to me... I can do it with all the ways but and the fist (I had never done that until now xD) and flat hands ones... I can't hold it though, maybe a little with the 4:09 way but not much.
I just tried, I can hold the normal L sit with straight legs and flat hands for around 15 seconds now!

@MyTilted It's not called a V-sit, this is the L-sit. I do have a V-sit however.

@brandongunn77 The picture is, but the skill I show in the video is a L-sit. The V-sit is when your feet are higher up.
