So Yes, If the dog is that then, I've never seen a black one. :) I thought I was looking at a Belgian Shepherd dog (Groenendael), when I first clicked on the video; as they are completely black but resemble a wolf. Having said that though, this dog is still beautiful. :)

@meganquinn2 "black phase" is the color, has nothing to do with heritage. There is a scale F1, F2, F3 and so on dealing with how many generations away a wolfdog had a relative that was pure. Mix a pure wolf and malamute and that's an F1 wolfdog. Just had to put to sleep my wolfdog of 12+ years b/c of back issues. He was a high content F2 black phase that was 88% BC timberwolf/malamute Unbelievable animal that was photographed by many different wildlife artists. Heartbreaking.

@maddymo007 if you look at stats wolves actually aren't that dangerous. What started making them "dangerous" is the fact is they are the next apex predator on the food chain next to us. So when man came to realize that the wolf would be competition it tried to wipe them out. People will tell you they will eat livestock, wolves only hunt livestock out of desperation they are normally very solitary animals. It is why BBC Planet Earth series had to take weeks of finding them.

I had a un neutered male mal with me and a year later the truck still reeks of wolf. Lived in the canadian arctic and wolves would come in off the tundra when bitches were in heat. Usually they killed the dogs tho.

@bidroid no it does not. I have had a black german shepard, and they do not look like this wolf dog at all. their head is shaped totally different. They are the size of a golden retriever a little bigger, their head is much more on the bulky side, not triangular shaped at all.

That is a wonderful wolf dog you have there, but I am concerned about Lynk. Keeping him in your household is dangerous. No matter HOW tamed he is, his instincts will always be with him. I recommend having someone take of him, as long as that person has a large habitat, and is prepared for it.
for everyone questioning a wolfdog isn't a wolf, it's a breed developed in czechoslovakia in the 1950s by breeding wolves and a breed similar to the German Shepard. I'm assuming that's what Lynk is.
like any dog you aboslutely shouldn't get one without doing your homework. Dogs like this need an extreme amount of stimulation and exercise, and the right home and family to be happy :)

Denotes not a wolf. Looks a lot like a Belgian Sheepdog. The pic at 2:21 shows me Belgian for sure. White chest, solid black, tall pointed erect ears, furry main around face and you can see pink in the ears. My mother has a Belgian Sheepdog(grendali;; i cant spell it) I have a Wolf and my mothers dog bread her, now i have Wolf hybrids that look similar to this dog. Its pretty cool to have actual wolves, but they require a lot of work.
@babykins83 Wolves have shorter ears, but still erect. You can only see a hair of pink, if at all in their ears. They have dew claws on the front, but not on the back feet. Fur on the front of their legs is short and the hair on the back is long. The tail of a wolf is strait, dogs have curved tails even if only slightly. Now... there are dogs that share a few of these traits and im not going to list them all out.
I have an all black german shepherd. My mom, her mom, her moms mom, and everyone in my family has had german shepherds, I know what they look like. That dog is definitely part wolf, you can tell by the shape of his head. Maybe not full wolf, but definitely part wolf.
Cute dog :D Certainly not a wolf though. Some breeds look very wolfish. German Shepherds being one. He looks like he may be a mix though? Maybe Tamaskan and German Shepherd. :D Usually that combination looks very wolf.
A handsome looking well cared for animal. People might bitch how wolf hounds have no place in pet owner ship but as long as you know what your doing and treat the creature with respect there is no reason not to invite one into your home.
Sad to see him on the leash 24/7 when outside. Train train train.....My little guy roams free outside when I am with him off leash. Have you thought about purchasing a shock collar? They work great!

@TheRezGun - 2:55 and 4:02 spitting image of my cousin's black GSD. This dog has the same gait, stance, ears, chest cavity width, and slender, slim-line body as a GSD. Yeah, maybe this is a hybrid... but how many people do you see posting "wolf videos" of their dogs and it's barely anything close, or not even remotely close. I don't need to know anything about hybrids; I have a pure bred, Siberian Husky - rescued, which is the closest, domestic you'll get to a wolf, and this dog is more GSD.

I have a low content wolfdog ^^ But I don't really advertise him as being part wolf, because his appearance is more dog than wolf. He has a wolfy personality (but he's also mixed with husky and akita, mostly akita). I don't like to say he's got wolf in him, because he is so well-trained. But it was not easy to train him at all. So I usually just call him a mix.
I had a white wolf mix with Alaskan malamute, but she died a little over a year ago, she was almost 16. I never realized how much I loved and needed her until I lost her on October 26, 2010 at 11:19 am

wow looks a lot like the one I had but mine died, I got him when he was already sick and tried to save him, he almost survived for 2 weeks. because I cared for him day and night,couldn't eat or sleep like him,I got really attached and his death broke my hart. He was 9 weeks old when he died and he died in my arms, I took him to the hospital hoping they could save him but they couldn't.He was so smart and sweet, and his howling was annoying but I'd rather have him here howling than not at all :(

If you get one of any other color you can pass him off as any of these wolf dog look a likes! Swedish elkhound (aka Jamthund) &mixes, Husky German shepherd mix, Husky & mixes, German shepherd mixes, Norwegian elkhound & mixes, Utonagan, Tamaskan, Northern Inuit, Alaskan huskies, Agouti huskies. I love mid contents they are not super high or super low but a little in between.
I feel sad about wolf hybrids although I guess dogs are just wolves too . If there is ever a wolf that can never return to the wild, I will open the door for him/her -3

White chest, solid black, tall pointed erect ears, furry main around face and you can see pink in the ears. My mother has a Belgian Sheepdog(grendali;; i cant spell it) I have a Wolf and my mothers dog bread her, now i have Wolf hybrids that look similar to this dog. Its pretty cool to have actual wolves, but they require a lot of work.

@babykins83 Wolves have shorter ears, but still erect. You can only see a hair of pink, if at all in their ears. They have dew claws on the front, but not on the back feet. Fur on the front of their legs is short and the hair on the back is long. The tail of a wolf is strait, dogs have curved tails even if only slightly. Now... there are dogs that share a few of these traits and im not going to list them all out.

I have an all black german shepherd. My mom, her mom, her moms mom, and everyone in my family has had german shepherds, I know what they look like. That dog is definitely part wolf, you can tell by the shape of his head. Maybe not full wolf, but definitely part wolf.

Cute dog :D Certainly not a wolf though. Some breeds look very wolfish. German Shepherds being one. He looks like he may be a mix though? Maybe Tamaskan and German Shepherd. :D Usually that combination looks very wolf.

A handsome looking well cared for animal. People might bitch how wolf hounds have no place in pet owner ship but as long as you know what your doing and treat the creature with respect there is no reason not to invite one into your home.

Sad to see him on the leash 24/7 when outside. Train train train.....My little guy roams free outside when I am with him off leash. Have you thought about purchasing a shock collar? They work great!

@TheRezGun - 2:55 and 4:02 spitting image of my cousin's black GSD. This dog has the same gait, stance, ears, chest cavity width, and slender, slim-line body as a GSD. Yeah, maybe this is a hybrid... but how many people do you see posting "wolf videos" of their dogs and it's barely anything close, or not even remotely close. I don't need to know anything about hybrids; I have a pure bred, Siberian Husky - rescued, which is the closest, domestic you'll get to a wolf, and this dog is more GSD.

wow i love wolves, i saw a video of a guy with a pet wolf and he teased it and didn't give it what it needed, im glad link is healthy and looks happy.wild pets are awesome ! they wont attack if you gain their trust or raise from a baby mostlikley

I have a low content wolfdog ^^ But I don't really advertise him as being part wolf, because his appearance is more dog than wolf. He has a wolfy personality (but he's also mixed with husky and akita, mostly akita). I don't like to say he's got wolf in him, because he is so well-trained. But it was not easy to train him at all. So I usually just call him a mix.

I had a white wolf mix with Alaskan malamute, but she died a little over a year ago, she was almost 16. I never realized how much I loved and needed her until I lost her on October 26, 2010 at 11:19 am

wow looks a lot like the one I had but mine died, I got him when he was already sick and tried to save him, he almost survived for 2 weeks. because I cared for him day and night,couldn't eat or sleep like him,I got really attached and his death broke my hart. He was 9 weeks old when he died and he died in my arms, I took him to the hospital hoping they could save him but they couldn't.He was so smart and sweet, and his howling was annoying but I'd rather have him here howling than not at all :(

If you get one of any other color you can pass him off as any of these wolf dog look a likes! Swedish elkhound (aka Jamthund) &mixes, Husky German shepherd mix, Husky & mixes, German shepherd mixes, Norwegian elkhound & mixes, Utonagan, Tamaskan, Northern Inuit, Alaskan huskies, Agouti huskies. I love mid contents they are not super high or super low but a little in between.
