  • @0ddball thanks man ill tell him right away if he can make it.

  • @0ddball*metal

  • @0ddball yeah sorry about that im from the us,even better in california, america's airsoft capital,so internal stuff like gearboxes, inner barrels, hop ups, etc. are no problem for me to get. I just need to know where would be the best place to get the mrtal to make the rest of the gun. Also was wondering if thos would be a good platform for a Colt Monitor.

  • @TheCommenter71 Yes the Monitor is much the same. Steel should be easy to get hold of you just want 3mm black mild steel plate and maybe 1/4" plate on the top here and here.

  • @Oddball also any reccomendations where I could possibly look for the parts?

  • @TheCommenter71 First thing mate do yourself a favour and change your youtube channel back to old settings as I don't know where you are.

If you are in the USA you can buy M14 gearboxes easy on line find a Cyma for a cheap but good option. This gun isn't easy to build and I don't know anyone else that has made an airsoft version in this way in steel. Even mine isn't 100% finished just about 95% it needs a mag catch and dummy cocking leaver.

  • @Oddball thanks

  • Hey I got a friend that might be avle to make me one of these but I need to know how much would it cost and what kind of magazines will it take?

  • @TheCommenter71 It will cost under $100 in parts if you look for parts for a while.

The mag is a real one with a converted M14 internal.

  • Could you give me the dimensions (HxLxW) of the M14 gearbox?

  • @slayere23 It is a complex shape so best to buy it before you try to make anything.

  • Quick question I'm really interested in making this and I thought y not buy the parts kit for the metal part you had on the paper that way I have that and the bolt all done and modle the rest around it would that work

  • @Airborneboy506 You will find that there isn't enough space inside the real gun to fit a AEG gearbox as the metal is about 6mm thick. I used 3mm thick steel.

  • hahaha i havent seen this movie in a long time....

  • can u start from the beginning by taking it apart and build it as we go

  • @ngjty I do just that there are 19 videos to watch here over 2 hours.

  • what the heck is up with the whole kellys heroe thing you have goin on here

  • @cybergun500 Nothing I love the movie as many do and nothing wrong with that "Don't give me those negative waves" :-)

  • @0ddba1l negative ways the tank commanders heavily used line

  • Do you sell these?

  • @NoahGoodAtAllSports No sorry I just make one off versions for myself and like to make a video to show others how. Quite a few people have copied my work take a look at all the Thompsons have been made since I posted my Thompson video 3 years or more back. Also 1919A4's.

I used to sell plans on ebay years back but they kept pulling my adds so I gave up making build guides and just do these videos for fun and 2 fingers up to eBay.

  • @NoahGoodAtAllSports watch?v=6BSISIo7tAE they made 2 after watching these videos and have been selling them for £270 = $446 so not bad for scrap metal.

  • I feel like a moron.

When you said "they're a thousand pounds" i though "well, surely they're not THAT heavy".

  • @LieutenantIDan LOL I can see why you would think that.

  • Im totally going to attempt this.

  • @Knightmare3000 Just take it one stage at a time, I have tried to show the best way I thought to build the gun.

I still have to make a magazine catch that it the only tricky part left to make.

  • @0ddba1l 0dbal1 - I just started my BAR today. i couldnt find 3mm or 2mm sheet steel so i had to settle on 1mm steel :-/. i cant wait to see how you sort out a mag catch and finish off the rifle.

  • @OrangeTaco017 Are you able to weld? I presume so because you need to for this build, if I were you I would hold out and find 2 or 3mm steel as 1mm will flex too much maybe 1.75mm will do the job but in the end I found 3mm worked well as it is easy to weld without blowing holes through it all the time and it gives a good strong result.

  • @0ddba1l i have my own mig welder that will weld some different thicknesses of steel pretty well. i hope i wont blow any holes in the thin steel. i plan to reincforce the thinner parts in places for more strength and im hoping it will turn out alright. i was hoping for at least 1.5mm. there is a little flexing on my side panels, so reinforcement will probably be needed for it to not bend when picked up and such. i might have to redo the panels if i find some thicker metal to use.

  • good mowile

  • cool
