  • oh my i heard this and had to go and visit the website to see if there is more information on this, it is unbelievable how we could treat people this way and go on about our lives as if this is what they deserve. how dare we look upon another brother and think we can threat to beat, rape or torture a person in to being obedient servants. doesn't the law mean anything or is it for the weak, dumb, and etc..

  • We are all the same.

Black, white, pink, green, red, or neon color.

    We bleed the same color.

    We feel.

    We breed.

    We are men and women.

    Yes, we are the same.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Lincoln was accused of being black his vice president was impeached for being black he is the only vice president to ever to this day be impeached his name was Hannibal Hamlin do u no that they dug Lincoln up and in cased him in his tomb with concrete hes the only president that this has happened to it has be noted that his father was black thats why you see no mention of his father during election time they called him Abraham Africanos !!!!

  • @AzulDiamond93 you say your still in metal slavery lol thats funny you in rap slavery most likely , are you even aware of christians in sudan are made slaves by muslims in sudan . you act like a victim saying we still slaves metally , well i suggest you read the bible and read history , and turn off that rap music why ? because the truth will set you free thats right the truth not hate , not the government , and not lies but the actuall truth ! WHAT YOU DOING TO HELP BLACK CHRISTIANS IN SUDAN?

  • lady in video is talking about slavery as if it is history but their are slaves today , black people are slaves today . where ? in sudan thats right in sudan africa there are christians being killed raped , and yes taken into slavery by muslims . but the united nations and none of the newsmedia talking about it why ? coz they are black ? is it because they christian? why are we not helping black christians in sudan?

  • exactly why you will not catch me out in bumblebruck....or wasting energy in a capitalist african american 'studies' class. though I appreciate the research and review, all of that is not for me. keeping my mind & body free. slavery exists in many forms and it is a daily struggle not to succumb and fall victim.

  • Thanks for SHARING ANTOINETTE !!!!!

WOW .. is all I can say at this time ...

  • What was the relationship, if any, between peonage and Florida tupentine camp slavery in the mid 20th century?

  • damn shit get real!!....i think every blk kid born in america need 2 be sent 2 college 4 free cuz america made it filthy rich off off us now they using the money 2 send their kids 2 school!! not fair nd we still in mental slavery...smh

  • @AzulDiamond93 I'm studying African American History in college ( and yes I'm White, but my family has never owned slaves....) and Slaves didn't produce "money" they proved to ensure QUALITY.

Also, have you ever opened your eyes and realized that if you go to school, make good grade,s you can go to college for free off of SCHOLARSHIPS??????? haha they even have a scholarship for African Americans only. How much more do you want????

  • @TheRachelabrown91 how much more do i WANT!?.........u must be shitting me brick. HOWS ABT OUR ORIGINAL NAMES BE GIVIN BACK 2 US........THE LIST GOES ON FOR DAYS ABT WHAT WE WANT AND NEED BACK ....FUCK A SCHOLARSHIP! EVEN IF YOU GET THT UR STILL NOT GOING 2 GET THE TRUE TRUE INFORMATION NEEDED 2 BREAK THE CURSE OF WILLIE LYNCH THAT STILL INFLUENCES MANY BLK AMERICANS 2DAY.........

  • @AzulDiamond93 ok, So first your complaining about getting into college for free, and then when I give you a solution, you say college is not good enough? oh and to solve your problem about getting true information... that's also free, it's called books, and or internet. also, umm WHAT ABOUT THE JEWS!? THEY WERE FREAKING SLAVES AND THEY GOT GASSED TO DEATH FOR RACE AND RELIGION, AND INSTEAD OF NEW NAMES THEY GOT NUMBERS LIKE 144435452626262 AND THEY MOVED ON, AND DID NOT COMPLAINED. THANKS.

  • @TheRachelabrown91Moot point. Suffering is suffering and doesn't need to happen regardless of what happened to some other group on some other continent. The difference between Jews and blacks is, blacks are still being oppressed today STUPID. Also keep in mind it's hard to single out people who look the same as you. For example if I just decided to go on a rampage and kill all the Kenyans in this country I might actually be killing some people from Ghana, Cuba, the DR, Haiti...Get me?

  • All my life I've wondered if this might have happened. Now I know. Thank you for posting this.

  • Oh yes. I remember meeting some people in Mississippi who told me about this system. The South is a hot mess.

  • Kshollywood, something is not answering. I must say that this is one of them. I will not go back and forth with you. There is to much work for me to do.

  • This will never go away if black people won't stop bringing it up, of course this is a crutch for the to get foodstamps, ssi, welfare. And if the africans didn't sell themselves to the USA then we wouldn't have black people here so be happy that your people were sold here because you would still be in Africa begging the US for food like they are now,,,be blessed and drop the whole slavery thing

  • @kshollywood why should black people forget about slavery. you would not tell jews to drop the whole holucaust thing. if you have an issue with it. why the hell are you on this cite? you are a FOOL!

  • @kshollywood You have the audacity to say be blessed and to say just drop it? You are obviously white but i will let you in on a little secret. I live in california, my collegue who is a a nurse and pharmacy tech. She works in Marina del Rey, a beach town mostly populated by whites, 99% of her patients are on SECTION 8 which is GOVERMENT ASSITANCE you idiot, so what is their excuse?? being white they should be able to pay the $2200 rent. not using section 8 as a crutch

  • @kshollywood Be blessed and just drop it, spoken as so many white supemacist so called "christians" like to say. Like bubblegum8ish said, you would not have the balls to tell the jews to just drop it about their holocaust, becasue you know they would rip into your stupid a** and i second the question why the hell are you on this page? why do you go play in traffic or better yet, go talk to your friends in marina del rey and tell them they need to get off of rent welfare (section 8) and work!

  • May be this video could be forwarded to some of the more influential people of America. This clip should be sent to people with money that have power to address an issue of such.

  • A footnote, African Indians and Arab Nation have been trying to enslave the whole world but guess what not on my watch. If you dont know the tree of life, you better get to know. Things are moving pretty fast between Christian and Muslims...the jews have a Character problem and those that do not care nor participate in either, are armed to the core.

So stop the b-lame things and be glad today you can change things. I guess you have that voice to do so. Peace!

  • BARAK, ISRAEL!

  • barak clam his father was an african theycame from the seed of ham noahs second son. the so call black people, african american came from the seed of shem the oldest son of noah, you are what your father was because the male carries the seed. he say his father was from kenan so he is a so called african hamite black people in america and else where are shemites to deffrent people. all dark skinned people are not from the same nation just like so call white people you have britans russians so onw

  • You DO NOT KNOW who is in the lineage of Cham and who is not.. there are people far more learned and intelligent than you that you can learn from.. you don't have a list of anyone's lineage or ancestry to say whether or not the people in Kenya are of Ham, Shem or anyone else .. location does not EQUAL ANCESTRY..HE DID NOT SAY his father was from KENAN,but KENYA & those may be the KENITES. Look up Hebrew kingdoms in AFRICA.

  • EbonyLoveAndMarriage..yes it is true that i am not the most intelligent person on the planet .bu tell me did you do any research before you made your comments i'm only going by what the man say himself that his father was and it is true every one with dark skin is not form the same linage those are the facts . not as i see it but the way it is.and by the way the kenites are the seed of canaan and he was hams forth son that is the facts. yes it is true i have a lot to learn but as i see so do you

  • Do this right quick.. go to a page called TrueIsraelSpeaks and check out the playlist.. I can't think of the name of it, but it's one man on the screen. He is translating from French to English and he is speaking of the Hebrew presence in Africa. You must also not make the mistake that the Eurocentrics who have limited knowledge of African history do.. they assume a people in a place today are the people there 4000-6000YRS ago. NOT - There were MANY migrations over time. Peace.

  • i know that there where and still are many israelites in what is called africa. i am aware of that . and i have do the reserch on that . so i am truly aware of the israelites of west africa south africa and so on all i said is that the people we know today as african are the decendents of noah son ham is that true are not . i am very aware of the israelite migration into to the land of ham called africa there are many witness to that fact i never said that israelites was not africa

  • Unless you have studied the bloodlines of EVERY one in Africa..every tribe and sub group.. you CANNOT SAY that everyone known as an African is the SON OF HAM. I thought that was clear in what I just wrote to you.. oh well, whateva.

  • i kn ow that is true but all i said that is they that say they are an african is from the linage of ham i never said every one in africa is a hamite i know there are many diffrent nationlity in africa but the land we know today as africa was called the land of ham that is all i said.i am truly aware that every one in what is called africa is not from the blood line of ham

  • i know this brother, so what are u saying? shalom.

  • This is deceptive and propaganda.

The Natives were the first to be enslaved by the Europeans invasion. Then the Africans came by slave ships, after they were unable to force the Natives to work for free. The slaves were also used to fight against the Natives for the white man. That is called Voluntary servitude.

    We will never forget...

  • We will never forget the Mohawk tracking us down and killing us when we escaped. First of all the people who hunted down the Indians were in the army and not only did they hunt indians they hunted Black people who were apart of the indian family, the army were working under orders but bottom line they killed Africans in that battle also.

  • You can appeal to the Mohawks their crimes of genocide, if they will listens.

I hear you but that is not in its entirety.

We no longer play the victams, we have moved on to become what we need to survive and that is to remain a Nation, against all odds.

  • Just saying cause normally I don't have an issue with any tribe of Indian unless I'm fired upon first. But I live for Africa and my people, I help others when I can.

    Peace

  • Did you see "Raisin In the Sun"

    P. Diddy and Felicia Rashaad.

    Very interesting...Check it out.

    Yakoke!

  • @Choctawu

The Choctaw Nation was not under U.S. jurisdiction and kept slaves after the emacipation in the U.S.

Many of the "civilized tribes" had slaves and kept them after the emanicapation.

  • I guess you want to dialogue with me about Slavery...Ok.

First, let's have the right knowledge of what you are expressing as "civilized tribes" A Nation is not a tribe it is made up of tribes. Now which tribe in the Choctaw Nation, in Choctaw Country before and after the invention of the U.S., are you speaking of? Did you know if you came to the Choctaw Nation as a slavery, you were indentured servants among some of the Choctaw Nation tribes.

Yes, Tribal Nation have slaves, and U.S. too.

  • @Choctawu

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma were known to have slaves until at least 1866. Emancipation proclaimation was signed three years prior.

Slavery is slavery. Those who took part in it and continue to take part in forms of slavery (no matter the time period, region on earth, religion, race...) should not be defensive about it. Instead should bow their heads in apology as a sin that cannot be lived down. It can be forgiven but not forgotten. To forget is Dangerous.

  • Their is nothing to remember, it is an experience for everyone involved regardless of what side of the spectrum.

It is best o move on and be glad we are here to make changes today.

  • My dear the bible which is god to most slaves or slave minded individuals, has numerus accounts of slavery even after deliverance...words like bondmen bondwomen, handmaiden, servants,...etc

Do not think slavery will end because the poor will always be among the living. So how do you change this...contracts void them and never sign anything again.

That is my limited knowledge on avoiding slavery. Chow!

  • @Choctawu

Whether you want to call it indentured, peonage, or slavery its wrong for a person who has done nothing wrong to be considered inherently inferior and not given a chance to do more than serve someone elses will.

  • Well I dont think, you can hold anyone inferior but you cant be to smart, to fight someone with no money, no shoes, and no place to live. If someone uses you to do harm to a Nation already in power, thats not to bright. But if they did not compensate you for the crimes committed in another Nations land, you should be glad to be alive today.

  • @Choctawu

Your really being one sided in your thinking. Like it has been pointed out black and natives (some of which did have direct African heritage) were killed. They were BOTH marginalized and pitted against each other. The difference?? speaking in more general terms.... Africans/Blacks were ENSLAVED, many by Natives also. Blacks were used to plant and harvest commodities, build the nations infrastructure....Killing natives was not a "relegated" to slaves.

  • I think i have given enough of my time and shown you the weak points in your arguments. If you only knew what is relegated and who gets to do it, you may think twice before making comments,

You did not build anything that was not already here. The Choctaw Nation has the oldest building in Washington D.C. you know little about the Choctaw People.

If you want to know go sit among the Blu, not the red they are mixed tribe of Irish, german, polish, russian, anything arriving on the first ship.

  • @Choctawu

What is your point? Really what are trying to get at?

Are you trying to say that Black people shouldn't remember and spread word that 20th century slavery existed in this country? Are you saying acknowledgment of this is "not taking charge of our lives today?" We must spead info like this to avoid it from ever happening again and to remind us of how far we have come and not to think we have come (as a group/not as individuals) further than we have. An Accurate timeline is important

  • @Choctawu

Instead of wasting time saying that AAmerican ancesters are murderers and didn't have it worse than so and so... try to respect a stuggle that still exist for many dark peoples of the Earth (98% or indigenous ppls are amonsth the "darker pples of the earth").

    Also

Keep in mind, the majority of African Americans have the MOST respect and acknoweledgment of the wrongs done to natives. We empathize.

  • Empathize?, oh well some folks will never learn. We is experienced has nothing to do with skintones. This is about the lack of love inside and outside.

An example, Europeans love the blacks in Jamaica. Why dont they love the blacks in this country? After all both have been colonized and enslaved.

  • @Choctawu

Europeans love the Blacks in Jamaica??? Have you ever been to London... well there is MUCH MUCH we can both learn. And I have to end this here....but Blacks and people of significant color are marganilzed ALL over the Earth. Same plight, different cultures. My goal is to help unite our efforts for equality. And YES empathize!

    With all my heart

    Learn::Peace::Udo::Suluhu::Hotep:: Love

  • Whatever all that means...

What are the names of those Nations?

Who did what to whom give dates and be specific it is genocide.

Unity, can be achieve by those that love the same inside and outside. That would be the unity. As they say if it dont fit dont force it. Those in love and unity move on, the others will eat dust. Israel in the desert was told to do the same, we move as one unit. Love and Peace! Chahta Yakni.

  • Another thing, Choctaws were labors as well they were farmers before the European crusade. If you think growing your own food and manufacturing by contract to the U.S., and never receiving compensation for good and services, is a picnic...you got it wrong too. Choctaws were enslaved by other Nations and vice-versa. They would raid our villages and take women and children. Europeans, and African Indian tribes. So dont think, of sheep think of wolves.

  • Thank God my family generations in California! They had no slaves and they were no slaves- so strange to think that people would use people to do the work for them, so creepy to think that anyone would hold people in bondage

  • Musicball,

You are quiet welcome. The book entitled "Lay This Body Down" a shocking and chilling description. I am still on the journey of educating all people on the untold truth about slavery. The hidden truth that many people do not want to believe. Thank you for your support. Please pass the youtube to others.

  • Lay This Body Down is an excellent book. The descriptions in it are chilling but it- and the story of peonage in general- should be talked about more because it is something most of us know nothing about. Thanks Sister Antoinette for helping to keep this tragedy from hiding any longer.

  • people make fun of my country for having family members be servants to aunts and uncles, America morally is much worst than Haiti. OMG American south is pathetic!

  • Jamalama123, what you are doing is called 1) setting a double standard and 2) talking about things you do not know much about.

You seem to have a problem with people making generalized, blanket statements about haiti...yet u just made one about the American South. I applaud this lady for bringing problems to the light that exist in some parts of rural south, but you would be crazy to believe the south is like this in general.

  • The south is home to some of the largest, most wealthy, and and fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country, like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Orlando, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Tampa, Austin. I myself stay in Macon, GA in an ALL BLACK neighborhood that is middle/upper middle class....please do not make blanket statement about the south@Jamalama123. The Delta regions of Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana have alot of poverty but not all in those states even live like these folks

  • the emancipation proclimation didnt apply to Louisiana cause it was under federal martial law. the emancipation procliamtion only applied to "sites of rebellion" and western territories. slavery was left legal in many states like New Jersey, West Varginia, Deleware, Missouri, Louisiana, and Texas. These states later outlawed it on their own.

the emancipation proclimation was nothing but a tool of war to lincoln. in reality he hated black folks and wanted to send us all to Liberia.

  • @803honda agreed. yeah, he hated us blacks

  • thank you very much for making this video and for giving the details of the books

  • Sister did the evil people who were holding this family ever charged with anything and are they still alive...were there others held in peonage?

  • Slavery is still going on today in africa. Look into it.

  • Slavery ended in 1865. Lets talk about the recent wichita massacre and knoxville double murders.

  • Did you even watch the whole video???

  • I totally agree that a lot of the slaves did not go free because of the isolated conditions. Even certain rights listed for slaves in the "code of noir" would not be adhered to due to slave owners not being watched. Even if they were watched, who was going to make the abide by the rules, other slave masters? Basically the laws were made to help religious slave owners develop a rightous moral consciousness but ultimately, they still did what they wanted to do towards African slaves.

  • lord have mercy........ this gives me chills. Yet we have so quickly forgotten.

  • I am amazed at this information. I need to know more. We see the problem, but where is the solution?? Yes, there is prayer, but what about action? Faith without works is dead.

  • grainne62,

What can you do to help me get this educational message to more people?

  • You know i have driven through the south some areas are so remote it would not surprise me to find people still so isolated that they can't break free.Without a network or an outside connection what could they possibly do.Its a frightening thought.Keep investigating let us all know what we can do to help.

  • This needs to stop. My heart goes out to those victims of this! Thank you for sharing and God bless you...

  • who sings the song

  • wow so interesting

  • thank you, people need to be aware of these problems and for taking the time to educate us on this history that's never taught in school.

  • This is so interesting

  • Thank you for taking your time to educate us about our history, Antionette.
