This was playing at the Youth Center in 1960 when I got my first kiss as a teenager. You never get a rush like that the rest of your life. Bobby socks, penny loafers, Buddy Holly, James Dean, Mom and Pop (not the Mamas and Poppas), the Golden Age of American culture, we miss it so much................
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
NICE ROLA EY...WE STILL BUBMPING ODIES ALL DA WAY FROM EAST LOS ANGELES...VARRIO EAST LOS ALCAPONE GANG...CILKA LOS DIABLOS ....KEEP DA ODIES BUMBPIN !!!!
Ditto to 67 bonita. My wife was only 17 when we fell in love in the summer of 1966 and married in December. I was 21. Still married after all these years .Donna is still "my girl".,.
This song reminds me of this 19 year old girl I met in the 60's.....we met one summer night......it was love at first sight......we have been married for over
WOW!!! I can't believe I found My Uncle Jimmy Weston song on youtube. He was the best singers of do wop of the 1950's and should've received more regonition for his contribution for this music. My father was the background singer for this group named Leroy Jones. When he died in 1992 he had so many fans at his funeral that I didnt realize how famous he was . Thank you for the memories from the Jones Family.
Don't feel bad...I was born in '95 and I think just like that. I love old things. Music...clothes...antique shops are my best friends. Things were just cooler back then.
@nattyrose3 Another thing you may notice is that the "peak of nostalgia for this era" happened in the '70s and '80s, and then in the early '90s the rise of political correctness made nostalgia for this era "uncool", and movies/retro diners/oldies that played these songs quickly became hard to find, alas. I googled "50s music" and one of the top results involved a "retirement community" for this stuff. But this stuff will be enjoyed even in the 2050s when I am an old man!
They played this at a wedding I went to and there was no one left sitting, everyone was on the dance floor;that's how much everyone young & old loves this song.
@hoodie707 Thank god that most of them are, but they pay homage to the mexican mafia by adding the 13. and plus who really gives a fuck about these losers. they are fuckin nobodies...
Songs like these from the late 50's and early 60's were responsible for my "F" on Geometry Regents exam. I was so addicted to this type of music, I didn't do my homework.
This is one old and classic rola to relax to.Thanks for posting this up WSPFLATS.I'm going to get the east side story box set for sure,They got vols 1-12 on it.

Considering all the oldies from the 50's and 60's this is easily my favorite tune. And to have seen it performed "live" was a really cool.

so wonderfully beautiful. Not to be weird, but I wish I was Dion's age in the 50's and 60's instead of being born in 1996.
