Toby Stephens made a superb Jay Gatsby!! And Robert Redford too. I saw both and I adore their performances. Two beautiful talented actors!! I adore the 'Gatsby soul' !!

I don't think there is a perfect Jay Gatsby. I don't think Robert Redford was a perfect Gatsby. Gatsby is almost like a myth, so unattainable. I doubt there will be any film adaptation that can come close to doing justice to the novel.
