Disney is rather thrifty with their inventories. For example, they have various classes of animtronic presidents in the Hall of Presidents. Some are much more sophisticated than others. They often use the same animatrons with a change of costume and face and hair in the Hall of Presidents and the Haunted Mansion and Country Bears Jamboree. They rarely throw anything away. It seems to me that it would be cheaper to make another set of parade floats than ship them across the world, but they do!

I think the Welcome Show is not intended for the crowds.. it is meant to be an alert to the staff to be ready for the guests.

@AxeNewkill We're ready for guests LONG before the welcome show...lol.

@AxeNewkill That too, but even on days where we don't have Extra Magic Hours, etc., we're usually waiting for about 30-45 mins before the welcome show. Just in case something needs to be changed last minute.

@JakeVhabae I doubt I can tell you anything you don't already know.. but I have one more secret! The "apartment" in Cinderalla's Castle that was a daily prize for a year used to be a storage area and break room for Disney employees! One thing that disturbed me on my last WDW visit was that all the managers had a "segway" to ride around on. In 2004, Disney BANNED people from bringing Segways into their parks, but a month later started RENTING them!

this is probably one of my favourite songs and ive heard it every day for the past 3 months at the aladdin pantomime which i was doing the lighting for and yes i was doing a huge lighting solo for this song and by god was that hard and it was at the carlisle green room

@yensiddisney913 iirc originally they were going to close the Railroad entierly during the construction of the new Fantasyland station but now i see that is no longer the case. now i'm more curious as to eee if there will be a lyric change since there won't be 7 lands anymore

@disneydanny2 Won't be 7 lands anymore? The song says "7 Lands And MORE". Disneyland 8 has 8 lands, DisneyWorld has 7. What land is getting the axe?

@Disneydanny The last time I was at DisneyWorld, I was rather disappointed. Some major rides were shut down entirely, some where shut down for renovations, and some were just broken down or not working for the day. I don't understand why it took MONTHS to do some minor renovations to the Haunted Mansion, during their PEAK summer season! They seem to be operating with a skeleton crew (no pun intended). By this time, they should be able to run the park SMOOTHLY. It is getting worse.

@AxeNewkill Wow that was in 2007 that the haunted mansion was closed, granted the renovation was months but many changes were made, not minor at all.

@greekyct they play this at the very beginning before the park opens. they also sing a very short version during the trolly show, which is located on main street usa, right after the park is open.
