Good anti-virus/firewall but it slows my computer to a crawl. I only really use it when I know I`m visiting a site that is infested with viruses like Piratebay or some other site like that. Piratebay is insane, even looking at that site now can shut down your whole comp. They download a virus without you even knowing about it that changes the registry and basically shuts down your whole computer.

@AreWeFamousNow have you tried Malware Bytes Anti Malware or SUPERAntispyware to delete the trojan? i got a rootkit that redirects me to stupid sites which then i got Malware Bytes Antimalware to remove the rootkit and is now gone. They are both free and are about the same thing except SuperAntispyware is more secure.

However, you must also include an Antimalware app to run alongside whatever AV you choose. I personally use Drive Sentry 3.4.0.20 Free. Others use ThreatFire Free. Both are excellent antimalwares with many features. This AV+AM combo is more effective than most PAID suites. Download Malwarebytes Free and SAS Free for On-Demand scans once a month just to be sure. Norton is actually pretty good. If you are still getting infected this much, you seriously need to change what you do online. Clearly, you aren't just checking email and surfing. NO single AV is going to protect you from everything. Using AV + AM + a great Firewall is a must. Still, using common sense online is easily your best defense against infection. Online gaming, crack sites, downloading music/games/apps from "certain" sites will get you infected quick. Surf safely.
