Alternatives to Rosetta Stone Japanese & THANKS!

Rosetta stone can't even spell (or pronounce) 'totally' right so I don't really trust them....

Lots of the comments comment about how rosetta stone calls a news paper a book. There are tons of mistakes like this in the program. Simple Japanese spelling errors.  "ha/wa" errors. In areas where the English should be HA they put in romaji WA , sometimes. As it gets more advanced, certian lesson they completely put backwards. Its really mixed up.

@rainbowrants Romaji is bad. In my opinion, replacing kanji with kana in RS Japanese is more annoying (i.e. くつ下 instead of 靴下)

Thanks again for all the vids. I love how you added you are still learning the language. Its all about the journey not the destination. Especially when language is concerend, there is no "oh I understand it all now". I wish more people would understand this too :(

I have Rosetta Stone on my laptop but I want to learn and master my hiragana before I get to far into it. I want to be able to view the lessons in hiragana and not have to be suck with romaji.

I've used Rosetta Stone and they called a Newspaper a 「本」.

Or did they call a Book a 「しんぶん」?

I don't exactly remember, all I remember is it was wrong.

I've got it too, and honestly, I've never heard them refer to a newspaper or a book incorrectly. Book has always been "hon" and newspaper has always been "shinbun".
