Replaying this game, I've noticed that this song tends to play more often against Disc 1 bosses (idk bout normal/rare monsters though), regardless of morale (extreme low to extreme high swing, or just high the entire battle), either way it starts playing after about 2-3 turns of high morale, so maybe its more of a Disc 1 Boss song, as I've never heard it on disc 2 even with morale swings =o TLR ftw, unrivaled in music and had a kickass story and always fun combat.

Despite all of its technical flaws on the 360, this my favorite rpg along with Valkyria Profile for the PS3 of the current generation. I own both the 360 and the PC edition and despite the fact I prefer to play on a console, I have to admit that if you really want to enjoy this game at its full potential, you have to play the PC version. But whatever version you choose, this game is a must have!

The only 2 things I can complain about this game about are:

1. The texture popping. I hated walking around for 5 minutes then FINALLY having the texture for the floor pop up, lol.

2. The difficulty. Don't get me wrong, I love hard games, it's just I didn't really like having to grind for a while to even withstand normal enemies.

Other than that, this game was frickin awesome!

@ANGRYMAPLE Yeah, I didn't find that out until I was already 60 hours in. Was so pissed >_> It's a good game aside from the silly design choices (aforementioned) and battles being mostly luck-based XP

@otakufreak907 battles aren't always luck based, it's about tactics and not grinding, simply telling a union to stand by can greatly affect the battle situation though in some cases it doesn't however some battles sometimes rely on luck such as the lost >.<

just high union morale triggers this, it also plays when fighting the conqueror to be more specific the turn you're about to beat him

I believe the song changes whenever there is a serious turn of events in a battle. Like say you're getting your ass kicked. One party left 2 members alive. Then all of a sudden you destroy like 2-3 enemy parties in a single turn. The song would most likely start playing.

Sorry for late reply but anyway , this song only plays on CD1 when you keep your morale at almost maximum/max for 2-4 turns , it works the same way for negative and neutral battle themes , just keep morale on certain lvl for 2-4 turns.

This song always plays if you have very high morale, regardless of the enemy HP or type. If you fight really weak enemies this song plays right from the start.

You had low morale, and you somehow boosted it up very quickly, possibly by killing key enemies. That's why you heard it and that's why this is called Reversal. You reversed your morale bar.

Well i got it when your morale was low then when it was put up high, hence the title of the song "Reversal"

Dunno why this guy got a negative, he's right, except it works both ways.

It plays when there's a rapid change in the morale bar on either side. Those victory cries that butcher your morale often bring this theme.

Yup :P Your morale has to be on the low side which will play turn the tide i think, then when you build your morale back up it will play press to victory or Reversal, im sure reversal will play if its at the bottom, then hits top almost instantly. But yeah, fav battle music in this game too :D

Well you hear it anywhere. I think it's when your Morale is low for a long time but i'm not sure it's in normal battles and boss battles

I hear this song a lot. When I'm winning against certain types of bosses (Optional bosses?). I think I've even heard it when I was the one dying. It might've been both me and the boss near death though.
