This is a superb show. But the context is probably the finest part. The way it's a bizzare japanese gameshow that Craig Charles has "found" amongst the sea of trash TV from abroad and we are watching it from the perspective of not really understanding what the gameshow really is. So much funnier than if it had been a gameshow that was made by us and we fully understood. I fucking love it.

MXC crush's this shitty version. Its not even funny. The commentating on MXC is genious. The voice overs are done extremely well and its funny as fuck. They did NOT ruin this show, they made it ten times funnier. Theres quite abit of mxc material on youtube, just search most extreme elimination challenge. If you havent seen it before, give it a chance at least

@mbphofan This isn't the real Takeshi's Castle, It's some boring person talking over Takeshi's Castle. The real show is hilarious! (in my opinion). it is also very different from MXC, like there's one big "army" of people trying to get the count ( Vic Romano) who owns the castle alongside his assistant (Kenny Blankenship). if somehow you can get someone one to translate or learn japanese, you should really check it out.
