It's too bad Frito Lay, which is owned by Pepsi, continues to scam the consumers by making their bags smaller and smaller, while still raising the prices.
Buy store brand when you can. There's not much difference in the taste, and it's considerably less expensive. Frito Lay needs to be taught a lesson.
@DirkDiggler1102 You're the reason their is so much ignorance in the world! They're doing this because the price of produce has gone up, in order to keep the cost the same to you and me and not break everyone's wallets they decided it would be a better idea to make the bags smaller instead of everyone losing out. If you want someone to blame, blame you guessed it Obama and his piss poor energy plan, still better then GBjr's plan though. Which was do nothing! Next year read more into this!
they should bring back the old school doritos bag to freshen things up, same with coke, when i walk around a super market i dont even pay attention to coke or doritos, but if they where in there old school design i would definitley buy them
Haha I don't remember the extra crispy Doritos but I do remember when the Doritios bag looked like this. Funny thing is if you look on the back of today's Doritos bags you'll see an advertisement for a "new" look, which is actually this original label XD
@msw0322 They brought back my most favorite Doritos flavor called Taco and for a limited time it was in a retro package but not really. The label looked retro but it was not in the clear cellophane package with the window you could see the chips through. Back in the old packaging Doritos had more chips and less crumbs like the newer packages have.
@GhostOfACPast Yeah the new Doritos are good but not as good as they used to be with that clear bag. I noticed that Pepsi is doing the "Throw Back" deal where they use the original ingredients with the old label, I wish Betty Crocker would do that with their Fruit Rollups and use the flavors that they had back in the early 80s when it was Fruit Corners :(
@msw0322 I saw a retro Cheetos bag a few days ago but it wasn't in the real retro cellophane bag either only the labeling looked retro.
As far as throwback goes it only changed the one ingredient from High Fructose Corn Syrup back to Sugar. Coke still says there is no difference in taste and they have to lest they be sued for things they said back in 1984 when they gave up on Sugar in the USA for HFCS.
why are these not still around

Now the dilemma in the commercial would be regular Doritos over the fat-free ones.
Jojoateyt 7 months ago
@Jojoateyt You are correct, all they were are today's baked ones. They would not have sold a single bag back then if they called them fat free...
