I love the way she brings depth and dimension to the piece with the contrasts in attack of the bass notes and melody notes. Makes me hear the piece in 3D, so to speak. I think there is real talent there.
Good lord, can you crackheads please appreciate the fact that people play differently? If everyone played as you liked it we would have only one guitarist and noone but you would like him/her
There is such a thing as a differing interpretation and there is such a thing as completely missing the very point of a piece by rushing through it. This performance darn near lost the melody due to rushing. That is why we "crackheads" said something. Anyway, we all agree, if was very good with the exception of too much speed.
@nmclay I agree. I've tried to watch nearly every video of this piece, and every guitarist I've heard takes too much liberty with the tempo. Most of them should just practice it slowly with a metronome - that would sound more musical.
This is one of the better interpretations, as she has fine technique, but some of these guitarists use so much rubato tempo variation that they could just as well play blues riffs within the piece.
This one also played without feeling. :-(

Nicely Played, the rubato and phrasing sound smoother at a slower tempo, time is our friend.

Good lord, slow down and try to maintain a tempo. Your tone is lovely and should ring through better with a more moderate pace.
