Was Jim Henson hired to do some promotional material for IBM? I didn't know that. THanks for posting this up Batman. It does help me learn what Jim was doing back then before the Muppet Show.
@UltraBibendum non-IBM models are cheap. Although if you want the Selectric with the golf ball, you'll pay up your nose. (unless some dummy is selling it for cheap on eBay)

Seems in the 60's, Rowlf was the "everyman" character of all the Muppets, a role which Kermit would eventually take.

@Akira625 Where's Kermit When You Need Him?

They're all Muppets there now - they've murdered Domino. ... and as for ethical ! LOL !!! Yeah - like stealing people's pensions.

Good to see Big Blue had a humor at some stage. I reckon they should bring back muppets to IBM advertising. Made me giggle.

That's hilarious! I especially liked the repeating stair bit where the bag kept falling and falling!

This reminds me of The Muppets Take Manhattan, where the Muppet gang are all writing back to Kermit about their new jobs.

I like Rowlf's "ten feet tall" commercial.
MarshalGrover 3 years ago 4
Yeah, that one was funny, but, frankly, I prefer the one where he's singing and typing with his twin ("Double your output, double your speed...").
