  • *Removes implant.* Well guys... Guess they're gonna have to wait six weeks.

*Starts stabbing hole in gums with stick.*

  • omg!!! O - M - G !!!

  • @DJBrokenHigh that is untrue some people are born missing adult teeth behind their baby teeth, like me. The procedure is actually not that painful!

  • @ScopedPewPew I have 3 baby teeth I need to hold on to as long as I can, because I never had adult teeth behind them. I just hope I can get implants when I need to. I don't expect my baby teeth meant for 10 years to last 50 :(

  • Im like fainting soon:(Mah teeth is coming out OMG

  • just imagine...there used to be absolutely no painkillers for dental procedures at all. Look up dentistry in the 1900s and you will know fear.

  • omg this is so scary @@ does implant hurts?

  • @babyj3c0b17 I was awake for this. It is 100% painless, I just had local anaethesia and I was fine. However it felt like I had a lump of freezing the size of a grape in my(I don't know what to call it, lip?) The day after there was no pain or swelling, I have had cleanings that were more painful. And I am not exaggerating one bit. I don't know why, but these implants are very painless. And they have a high success rate since your body easily allows titanium to fuse to your bone or something.

  • @ScopedPewPew I'm little scared, but can you eat well?

  • i got implants its not painful but i had to close my eyes cause it was so scary

  • patient imp was short must be repeat with another bigger imp

  • patient imp was short must be repeat with another bigger imp

  • PATIENT HAS SOME BONE LOSS, IMPLANT WAS SET ON THE GUM PROBABLY WITH SOME ARTIFICIAL BONE

  • got mine done like 2 weeks ago and only 17 :/ well pissed of

  • astrangers songs......

  • after the screw is drilled in, what did the dentist use to cover the missing tooth before the actual crown?

  • @terry81 That's just a cap. When I had mine done the end of the screw was hollow, that's where the tooth part fits in. The cap is just so food and junk doesn't get in it, I assume. The bone needs time to heal before the tooth can go on.

  • Omg, i cant even watch someone get drilled. i always get that icy feeling in my mouth. gonna read comments instead now O.o

  • @MrBalzaroxz sorry but i got u wrong at the first time (drilled) O_o

  • @anax22 Lol ^_^

  • The failed implant at 30 I had removed at a hospital, looked like it felt, a railroad spike down my neck exploding.

After a year of crippling pain the dentist that did the impant Dr. A from Lawrenceville NJ. refused to remove it. Now the Hospital that did the removal won't resleas my records to me though it was classified as failed, causing nerve pain and damage. I'm so paranoid now I'm thinking its a conflict of interest

  • @Anon5K Yeah the bastards stick up for one another. You can sue both of them. You can also get a court order to have the hospital release your records. They're not allowed to keep them from you.

  • I was just told yesterday my implant has been rejected and is beginning to get infected. Ill be going in to have it removed in 1hour. Not looking forward to it at all. No gas available for this procedure and i get sick from pills. Yay

  • You would have thought the dirty bastard would have shaved before having a dental procedure...

  • oh my fuckin gosh this is nasty shit

  • I had a bad fall on ice and knocked out one of my front teeth. They didn't put me under for any of it, not even laughing gas, just local anesthetic. It's not as painful as it looks. And yes, cost me around 4,000 total. The whole process took around 6 months.

  • @zurichexpired - When you got the implant, did you have a temporary crown placed on it for 6 months while the bone fused to the abutment? If so, how closely did it resemble the permanent crown? And in the end, when you got your final crown put on, how closely did it resemble the tooth you lost? Does it look natural? I got into a car accident, and I just found out that my root canal failed. I'm gonna have to go through this very soon.

  • Must hurt :S

  • seriusly rite in the same exact spot as that guy my tooth is missing because i fell when i was 9 years old and my tooth got smashed you can take care of ur teeth 24/7 but they will still get damiged in natureal accidents

  • It's not a matter of taking care of your teeth, sometimes, like what I had, your permantent teeth are never there. So once your baby teeth come out you don't have a tooth to replace it. It's very common and for me, it runs in my family.

  • I just got that done to me today, still on medication for it. You're put completely under and given pain medication after. It's terrifying but not that bad once it's over with. I had 3 of my wisdom teeth pulled, two bone grafts, and two implants placed in my front teeth. Lots of recovery and soft foods.

  • brush & floss your teeth everyday, then you'll never have to worry about going through this pain

  • @DJBrokenHigh not really..you can damage your teeth through an accident and still have to go through this.

  • @ssramroop You CAN but you probably wont but its still a good idea to brush and floss. I mean just cuz theres a chance of you breaking all your teeth someday doesn't mean you don't have to brush because theres only chance of it happening.

  • i was in shock disgusting

  • that's the reason i take care of my teeth

  • How much does dental implant cost in California?

  • @bigfattony007

depends on the tooth and if extra bone graph is needed. usually around 4000$ though.

  • Is it normal for me to be crying right now O_O

  • Holy crap this is whats waiting for me. I lost my front tooth after catching an elbow playing soccer

  • @tigerstylexx i got two implants in my front. it was a pain.....

  • scary

  • BARFF*

  • Lol... getting implants doesn't mean your teeth have rotted out... A lot of people get implants from either bar fights, sports accidents, car accidents or even because of their genetics. Its not painful at all, they make sure you are completely numb before proceeding with anything. EVERY SINGLE DENTAL PROCEDURE has the CHANCE to fail - It's a combination of the Doctors work and the patients mouth health. Implants fail to place a lot of the time because of bone loss or failed grafting.

  • I need to go brush my teeth.

  • I had an implant removed, much like this video. When they pulled it out, it had to be the most painful experience of my life so far. Even worse than when he was drilling the hole the first time round. When he poked around it felt like a hot poker was being punched into the hole. So sore.

  • @Chocsii omg thats fuckin horrible :o but why do they pull those things out anyway aren't they suppose to be permanent? im about to get one of those implants and my doctor sade its not gonna hurt so much :s weird lol...

  • @Chocsii @Chocsii omg thats fuckin horrible :o but why do they pull those things out anyway aren't they suppose to be permanent? im about to get one of those implants and my doctor said its not gonna hurt so much :s weird lol...

  • @hadikyshon Yeah they are supposed to be permanent. But they pull them out if they fail, whether because of an infection or failure to integrate into the bone. To try again they have to pull it out and let your gums and bone heal again. I'm sure you're implant will go fine, my case was just special and difficult. It's not really heard of for a doctor to do implants, make sure he's a trained orthodontist. Good luck, it'll all be worth it :D

  • @Chocsii Orthodontists do braces..... Oral Surgeon's and Periodontists perform implant surgery.... xD At least in my next of the woods that's what happens... I'd be a bit worried if an Ortho wanted to cut into my gum and bone... hehehe :)

  • god made a big design error with teeth !! bad design bud....mine are shit- so weak...if I look at a choc bar they fall out ! :(

  • I think i just threw up a little. D:

  • OMFG THATS DISCUSTING!!!!

  • Its not a failure.. this is just the beggining of the implant.

And no it don't hurt, there under anethetix

  • BEST #WAY:Go follow the steps and buy the best thoothbrush and toothpaste in the country/world !!!!

  • My dentist suggested this proccedure for me as I had a baby tooth but no adult tooth and was wondering if it is worth all the time, pain, and money. I got a quote from and oral surgen who said it would cost around $7500 just for one tooth but said this option for replacing my tooth would last the longest and be most effective as did my dentist. Any suggestions?

  • @Coltrane1011 yes it's definitely worth it. i'm getting both of my lateral incisors done in a few months. i was born without the adult teeth as well. i haven't had it done yet, but it is definitely the most practical, realistic, and long-lasting option.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh as mario would say:mamafucker!!!!!!!

  • The best dental clinic, without hurt, fear and pain

    youtube.com/user/DentalClinicHungary

  • HOLY CRAP! OUCH!!! DX

  • I had dental implant surgery today . The need for this can happen for many reasons...Not just bad oral hygiene. Mine was due to a car wreck- severe trauma to the tooth. I was hit by a drunk driver. Im thankful that such a technology exsists!

  • If a person smokes, it hurts their chances of implants being successful. That goes for any surgery, though. It looks like this guy probably had a tooth knocked out, and replaced by an implant. His other teeth look like they are natural, and not too bad. He will probably have to get a bridge now.

  • @whatanightmare He doesn't have to get a bridge. All he has to do is get a bone graft with composite material to adhere to the bone tissue which takes a couple of months and where a healing cap over the open socket until the bone is dense enough for the implant. A bridge is a bad idea because a removable bridge makes you so self-conscience and a fixed bridge damages neighboring teeth.

  • so scare me...

  • @mansoken Me too! I quickly turned off the volume, and I scrolled down the page so I cannot see the video. :)

  • ill clean my teeth very well this kind of weired

  • This is what happens when you play Ice Hockey...

  • ow!

  • i have to get this done when i'm older coz i was born with 2 adult teeth missing :(

so far got braces to widen the area, they're going to put a bridge there and then later on when i'm oledr they're wanting to give me implants. D:

  • @pippy1994 hi there. i also have 2 adult teeth missing. exploring my options. so far i came across traditional dental implants (which seems like a tedious and long process), bridge (but will need to file neighbouring teeth smaller to fit the crown over) and recently came across mini dental implants (which i thought is a good in between option)... did your dentist advise you to do the bridge first? if so, wouldnt that affect your neighouring teeth?

  • I don't actually see the failure part.

  • @djclintonk what you see at 0:15 is a screw that is supposed to be treated to the jaw bone and stay there solid to hold the implant , but this one is coming out easy ,so that means they made the hole bigger they mess up the tread or there is no bone to hold it . I think?

  • @JESUS4R3AL incorret...the "screw" as you call it...is the dental inplant...it is NOT "treated to the bone" it is screwed into the bone. We usually wait 4 to 6 months for the bone to "osteo integrate" and then uncover the implant and "load the implant" with the abutment and a temporary crown and then after 6 weeks with a temporary we then move forward with the permanent crown. The reason this implant is coming out easily is because it "has failed as the title notes.

  • @mjj1434 im in the same situation and im definetely choosing this horrible implant thing cus my dr. said it was permanent. yr gonna meet your dr. and talk about it and stuff probably like 3 times before the surgery. i dont think their are any side effects ..

  • I have to get 5 at a time six months apart tomorrow morning and I am getting all weird about it now...

  • oooooooooooooooo sssshit !! I'm going to floss or brush my teeth or something !!!! poor guy :( R.I.P :"(

  • thanks god i only have braces!!!

  • shit mate :|

  • my implant is holding up well. had it for 13 years now. got the tooth knocked out in the military

  • @azthundercloud Did it hurt you when he was drilling you open? Lol because it sure looks like it dose.. I have a missing tooth like this poor guy in this video.. I will have to do this soon too. :-(

  • @OpenYourTruth went under for the procedure. initially you will get what is called a flapper (temp tooth) while the screw and donor bone graft to you. then when you go to the dentist for your cleaning, just tell them you ave an implant and they will clean it differently.

  • @azthundercloud I'm not looking forward to doing this, but it needs to get done sooner or later.. Thanks for your reply.. ☺☺

  • That almost made me sick to watch, my god. If I was the dentist I might have barfed right in the patients mouth, that was disgusting.

  • man i think i might be sick not going to be a dentist no way never

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, stop it.

  • SICK FUCKING FLAGGED BICH

  • OOwwwwww!

  • o shit log this is not real

  • im gonna go brush mah teeth really well from now on...

  • aaah i'll brush my teeth!!!

  • that's not gross at all

  • @hyp3r3mily Not at all. It's fun and entertaining to watch!

  • I had all my teeth replaced by an unscrupulous dental pratice , my teeth were not that bad, two loose ones. I was told I wouldnt have my teeth much longer and I should have them all taken out. I was scared so I did this I have lost all but two of the implants two left and dentures. I am only 48 I have depression anxiety and I am broke it cost 20,000. Think twice before doing this always only do the bare essetial work. Dont listen to greedy dentists and get a second opinion

  • i would sue them

  • how do u know the implant went wrong while doing that process in the video

  • poor man....! ouch!!

  • @MaStEr95ChIeF If you cannot afford locally ,Find out where there is a school of dentistry in your area and they will do it for half the price most of the time.Cant hurt to call and find out.use google to find them, Good luck

  • @sidebarr7 Man, I can't afford half. I know a guy that got implants in his whole grill, cost like $28,000. I'm doing good if I keep gas in my car. I've always taken good care of my teeth but it seems to be a losing battle. I guess I'll develop a taste for oatmeal.

  • OUCH!

  • this almost made me puke and im a sorta dirty guy

  • omg this scares the hell out of me all the freaking jamming

  • im fuckin shaking!

  • what i want to know is if you are toothless while you are going through the healing process after the implant, can anybody help me?

  • @PINGUisMYlife , dont worry u wont be toothless, there are different methods to temporalize so no nobody will notice

  • IS HE UNCONSCIOUS?!

  • ahh. lost the adult tooth behind my k9 on the left cuz the baby tooth just broke it in have. im 13. this is sad.

  • I'm missing two tooth in the front because I didn't take care of myself in my teens. I have a maryland bridge but they pop out alot so I am going to get implants. I am scared though it looks so brutal and painful.

  • @culturedmonk

actually they hurt less than getting the tooth out....

  • dont worry , trust ur dentist for their profession ~ fight!!!!

  • i have to have 2 dental implants done thanks to a car accident.

  • @mysterymelody ,hi can u say how long now you have your implants and do you really have to be carefully of what u eat like biting into apples etc.....thanks i have a front tooth crow which keeps bereaking after a couple of months dentist is saying my bite is too strong an is pusshing for an implant the only problem since i don't really care about my looks , i don't want to pay so much like 4 grand n would have to moniter what i eat etc thanks for an esteem replay on your implant i.j

  • I had the same tooth extracted exactly a week ago today. Waiting 3 months to have the bolt implanted. Then another 3 months to get the tooth attached...assuming all goes well.

  • Holy jesus, i'm really going to brush my teeth VERY WELL right now.

  • @sUUpErC00W This is the the wisest advice I've seen on the Internet in 2011!

  • man that was painful isn't it???loosing teeth is hits you mentally and psychologically and during impants too it hurts because drilling in ur mouth like a carpenter hurts becoz we are living beings not a log of wood!!!! hmmm but thanx to the dentists and dental industry becoz its filling smiles in budding youngsters as well as old people which is helping a lot to build up something called self confidence and positive attitude!!!!

  • @lamdikodaka well i wud imagine it wudnt hurt to much bc they give shots to numb the area

  • i have cavities and need to make an appointment.. fuck i hope i dont need that shit done.. it looks fuckin brutal and horribly painful

  • I agree, have u seen how far hes shoving that metal thing!!!

I hate dentists ever since a failed wisdom tooth extraction, 45 minutes of trying and he had to stop as I was shaking so violently I almost had a seizue he said, then I had to wait months with a shattered tooth for a sedation dentist!

  • @tpvalley it looks fuckin terrible man, i'd wanna be sedated completely.

even if they give you the numbing shit itd still be fuckin uncomfortable and fucked up to be awake and see them doing that shit.

  • even when I was sedated, no sooner had he pushed in the medazolam and fentanyl he started the butchery, ended up removing both upper wisdom teeth, elefant tusks more like!! and he split my socket that collapsed in later! oh and I needed my gum stitching up!!

I was fully awake still even though he gave me 10X normal fentanyl dose, butchers!

  • do dentists do this? or more the oral surgeon?

  • Ohhh my.

Only the scary part of dentistry I've seen D:.

  • That's one of the biggest issues with "flapless" approaches. The frenum attachement was a clue to the Dentist. Even if it does not fail at the time of the surgery the gingival profile is going to be horrible.

  • In fact, I liked a lot this section

But I would not expect myself that had such an operation in one day because they need to experience and not a doctor Mptdi

Opinion it is one of the most beautiful and best findings, possibly dental implant so far

But Ibgy very expensive and uneconomical for the general public

    Greetings

  • I am gearing up for this surgery. My front tooth needs done. I am really only scared of the price:-) Thanks for posting.

  • That didn't necessarily mean that it was a failure... It may mean that he needed a different analog screw to place into the jaw bone. Don't lose your hopes guys =) we need you young dentists to come through for our country in the future!

  • To top it off last year he agreed I indeed had a cavity in the anchor molar then proceeded to charge me $350, for the filling. Yesterday I called for a consultation on the 2 implants and was told he was not accepting new patients though he was my dentist/prosthedontist for 15 +- years and does implants.

The fact is he is responsible as he did the 5 unit expensive bridge (remarked sdlit happens) but ticked off because I went to another dentist.

  • I need 2 molar implants because the dentist that did my 5 unit bridge neglected to address a cavity in the anchor molar that I insisted was a cavity. Instead he not only charged me an extra 50 for his expert opinion that said it was just soft tissue after a 130, charge for cleaning and an additonal bitewing 75. charge.

  • obrzydzający film

    pain

  • He's really diggin' up in there with that pick. I hope that doesn't happen when I get my implants.

  • watch out you can end up with

    atypical ondontalgia chronic neural pain

  • oh my god

  • Yep, implants are placed by quite an extraordinary array of dental practitioners, general dentists, periodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons, maxillo facial surgeons, there is a company that offered a two day course on placing implants¡¡¡¡, good implantology is as difficult to find as, say, good endodontics, and gets poor mouthed (no pun) for this reason quite often.

  • Implants can fail for a variety of reasons not related to the surgeon's skill. However, patients should be careful in the selection of their implant surgeon - There are too many short courses available to teach general dentists how to place implants. These courses range from 2 days to 2 weeks and are NOT affiliated with any University Dental School - Patients BEWARE !! Look at your dentist's credentials to be certain they are capable of performing the work they claim to have mastered.

  • how they fail?

  • Thats y i prefer 2 wer partial dentures
