  • I have a Packard Bell 3987CD (which looks almost exactly like yours, except it was made 2 years earlier). It will not get past the bios screen. I checked all the IDE cables, but it just won't boot. Do you know what's wrong?

  • @dosdude1 It's hard to say. Three of my computers behave in the same way, and I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with them (then again, I haven't had the time to tinker with them much). Does it give any error messages? Have you tried entering setup?

  • Lucky for some. My Packard Bell had been upgraded from Windows 3.1 to 95 and some bigger boys must have came and made all the Packard Bell stuff not work anymore. Nothing that couldny be sorted out by a trusty restore CD though!

  • Got tae love that theme, @JEMASCOLA!

  • This is a brilliant upload joe

  • @MormonReuben Thanks, Reuben :)

  • @JEMASCOLA Awesome!! I hop to find one like this this weekend when I go to Value Village. (BTW Its Declan)

  • @JEMASCOLA Do you need an Ethernet card for this one?

  • @technewstoyou4619 That would be nice, but I no longer own this computer. I gave it to Billy Coore recently. You might check with him to see if he wants one, though :)

  • @JEMASCOLA Oh ya, I forgot. :P Do you have another computer that would need a Ethernet card? If not, I will check with Billy.

  • @technewstoyou4619 I could use another Ethernet card. Surprisingly, I don't have that many.

  • I dont have a camera right now, but I uploaded a pic on the PB Club. It looks almost just like that, but has a VGA input instead of tuner.
