@spark0degrade althought my fav MMORPG game is WoW, blizzard is making it easier and easier by every patch/expansion! especially the changes due for cataclysm, they are eliminating all the " Hard to understand " stuff for it to become more " understandable" suck as the stats ( attack power, etc...) and the talent points.

Aion and WoW are two very different games. They may have some of the same aspects and themes of gameplay but Aion is in no way copying WoW. World of Warcraft actually took alot of the way its played from previous MMO's such as Everquest. The people who created WoW were Everquest players and moderators. Look it up it's true. To make a succesfull MMO one has to put in many things that WoW has simply because WoW and it's predesessor Everquest did things right. But Aion and WoW are very different.

I played WoW for 3 years and I can honestly say It's new expansion pack looks appealing, but I know without a doubt it will turn out like the others. Fun for a month then boring for a year. It's gameplay is somewhat redundant in my opinion, but then again all MMO's are. It just feels to me like Blizzard is constantly recycling. I admired Aions originality with its design and challenge. But it felt a little stagnant to me. (Continued in second comment)
To answer your question about my opinion of if it would be more fun to play, that depends on if you like challenge or not. Yes Aion is challenging it is not a walk in the park like WoW. Expect to take AT LEAST 2-3 months to get to level 50-55. WoW has a better guild system and is easier to play with friends in my opinion. And actually, WoW's PVP is, in my opinion, superior to Aions. And me having played Aion I felt as if the PVP was in the background from the actual leveling content. Aion seemed to focus on leveling, It didnt have very appealing end-game content. It seems that I am giving alot of bads about Aion but trust me it is a good game to play. You will love it at first, its character creation is among the most brilliant I have ever experienced. Eh, I'm not into Asian graphix. I like Euro/American MMO's. Asian character movements look too stiff. If the graphix on this game were slightly off then they are now this game would be very reminiscent of a F2P

Main clerics task in party is healing not dps. And first think what he done is dmg. And dmg=aggro. Think twice befor u tell stg. Look at this party and tell me that they have not enough dps. 2 glads, 2 assas and range. Yeah cleric HAVE to do dmg in this case. Im not talking here about glads who should get mobs aggro.

The tank was horrible not the healer. Ya his health dipped. But he was not in danger. But the tank was not holding agro for shit on multiple mobs. Killing the cleric twice. When the cleric did back off and just heal.

after 25 game gets very exciting. + instance (NTC/FT/eracus temple) this ones till 36-38.. after 40 u will be able to enter in other instances. U can also pvp 24/7 which is really funny. Nothing to say about rifts(port to move to enemies city)they are my favourite in game!!

I must admit, this game looks very cool, the melee attacks have alot of flow and pazzaz, and the healing/casting abilities have dramatic detail, not to mention the surroundings and general visual detail trumps that of any MMO I have ever played. (WoW, LoTR, FF, AoC, EQ) So, I hope there is a trial out soon so I can give it a try, There are just to many MMOs out there that look neat at first glance and u don't realize they suck till you have wasted a couple hundred bucks on em.
Type of your ram/how much. Or how fast the processor is. But the route of the problem is your graphics card. If you're going to be playing this game a lot and the graphics bug you the best way to fix that is buy a higher end graphics card. If you want max graphics you'll want to spend over 100 dollars...it's worth it if you'll play a lot.
Well very similar, unfortunately no one wants to try anything new, which is why this is such a boring MMO season. I've started Aion and it's a thrill. The trick is not to pick a melee class as your first job or you'll bore the shit out of yourself.

aion just got very pretty characters and spell effects but afterall its the only thing thats good about it. a game can be pretty but if it plays like shit its not fun to play.
Most gameplay videos of anything have some crap music. It's better than hearing "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" for the 50th time I guess. Personally, I'd prefer to just hear in-game music.
This video nicely shows gameplay in the 15-20 elite area. Unfortunately, the party members were not very skilled so the cleric kept dying.
Having cleared the asmo version of the zone with several groups, I can say that 1 good glad can easily tank two mobs and hold aggro over my sorc's full nuking. The threat mechanics in the game are unusual but a healer should not rip from a mob being attacked by 3 people (2:20). Group dps was below average.
honestly it reminds me a bit of guild wars, but it seems very..repetative, albeit its just to show gameplay and is limited and what not but it seems like an overglorified version of one of the F2P look alikes. Meh just my first impression coming from a background in WoW and sorts.
Aion and WoW surely are different... Aion is a good game.

personally i like this game. i play WoW as well. to me every MMORPG game is fun when you have friends who play with you. on the other hand, it is bording if you r soloing on ur own, unless u r really interested in this game. the only bad part about this game is that you need a really strong computer with really good graphic r else u will lag.

I must admit, this game looks very cool, the melee attacks have alot of flow and pazzaz, and the healing/casting abilities have dramatic detail, not to mention the surroundings and general visual detail trumps that of any MMO I have ever played. (WoW, LoTR, FF, AoC, EQ) So, I hope there is a trial out soon so I can give it a try, There are just to many MMOs out there that look neat at first glance and u don't realize they suck till you have wasted a couple hundred bucks on em.

Type of your ram/how much. Or how fast the processor is. But the route of the problem is your graphics card. If you're going to be playing this game a lot and the graphics bug you the best way to fix that is buy a higher end graphics card. If you want max graphics you'll want to spend over 100 dollars...it's worth it if you'll play a lot.

Well very similar, unfortunately no one wants to try anything new, which is why this is such a boring MMO season. I've started Aion and it's a thrill. The trick is not to pick a melee class as your first job or you'll bore the shit out of yourself.

You usually can set up a supscription, which allows the game to withraw from your account every 30, 60, or even 90 days.That will keep your account open as long as you have money on your account :p

I JUST quit WoW and have to say since I started playing this game a couple days ago, this games PvP is WAY better than WoW's because all u get in WoW is lag and annoying little kids whining because they cant press two buttons to kill u...... and t4c was a good mmo i played it for a while but nowhere near as old as some that ive played and just because u played an older mmo doesnt mean u know THAT much about mmo's lmao

This video nicely shows gameplay in the 15-20 elite area. Unfortunately, the party members were not very skilled so the cleric kept dying.
Having cleared the asmo version of the zone with several groups, I can say that 1 good glad can easily tank two mobs and hold aggro over my sorc's full nuking. The threat mechanics in the game are unusual but a healer should not rip from a mob being attacked by 3 people (2:20). Group dps was below average.

honestly it reminds me a bit of guild wars, but it seems very..repetative, albeit its just to show gameplay and is limited and what not but it seems like an overglorified version of one of the F2P look alikes. Meh just my first impression coming from a background in WoW and sorts.
