  • Planet of the apes. THIS WAS FORETOLD!!!

  • Give them the damn iPad. So what if they break it, did you see how he/she reached for it at 0:54 to hold it? Just ridiculous

  • there are a lot of apes walking around our city streets with ipad in hand or cell phone , pretending to speak on the cell phone. why dont we cage them . or better still send them back to africa.

  • There are a lot of orphan children that don't even have clothes or toys, and you give expensive gadjets to mindless apes. Congrats!

  • Now give them monkeyville and let them waste their life living and excelling in a virtual life.

  • Well... hopefully this doesn't devolve into a porno watching device like computers have for humans.

  • Seriously? How much these jokers getting paid to play with captive creatures like this? I think their are homeelss, hungry people in this country that would be appreaciative of such care. Wow, what a waste.

  • Here's an idea, folks: Give the Orangutans their own iPads instead of keeping them behind the cage and not accesing the things freely.......seriously, no?

  • @ffairlane57 i believe the woman said that they are so strong that they would destroy one in a second. those ipads aint cheap!

  • RECORD THEIR REACTIONS TO YOU SETTING THEM FREE AS THEY SHOULD BE.... YOU MONKEY AROUND WITH THE IPAD..... DO THEM THE FAVOR BY SETTING THEM FREE.

  • Let them play Donkey Kong.

  • let them back in the wild... zoos should be animal cruelty

  • Yeah yeah, this is great......Are they playing Angry Birds yet?

  • This is wonderful. Not only is it wonderful because it helps humans understand how species evolved, but also because it provided orangutans with the kind of mental stimulation and enrichment they deserve to have in their environment. Nature simply does not challenge intelligent species like this, or provide stimulation for them to evolve to higher levels!

  • Soon it will be like Rise of the planet of the apes...

  • I don't see how orangutans really use iPad. They just randomly touch the screen and watch video with no joy.

  • That video explains clearly the success of the iPad in the human market ;)

  • Apple ought to make waterpoof iPads for experimenting with the dolphins and the whales... I wanna be monkey again Mr.Darwin!

  • I'm not sure if this is sophisticated scientific work or its just a big plug for the Ipad put on by the zoo

  • And this is how Plant of the Apes began...

  • "let's see... what will I hear today...oh I know... arctic monkeys..."

  • woow

    subhanallah

  • they should let the orangutans play on Xbox Kinect! :D

  • It's a good idea to give them junk devices like apple ipads or products that way not anything important is lost if they destroy it.

  • do they like facetiming with each other?Ridiculus people...

  • KHANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

  • Gorilla Glass lmfao

  • I sure wouldn't like to be in "the wild!" I'd prefer an air conditioned, heated, padded house with all the food I needed handed to me and a beautiful wild-like yard to lounge in, with no snakes, biting insects, or predators. Oh, yeah! Heck, they get a place to get in out of the rain, snow, and heat, free dental, healthcare, gym membership--and a free iPad to boot! Screw the wild! The wild is boring, uncomfortable, and unsafe. I want to be a zoo animal. :-)

  • And thus Orangutangs will be the hipsters in the planet of the apes.

  • NNNOOOOO!OOOOO!!!!!

  • There's a joke in here somewhere because it's believed that the iPad might be manufactured with Gorilla Glass.

  • @CabhanListis gorilla glass is real

  • @trackstar1580 I know. So?

  • hate seeing these wonderful beings behind bars!

  • @martakepes Give and take. On the one hand, I'm sure they'd prefer the freedom of the wild. On the other, their captivity ensures the easiest way for young people, esp. children, can meet and have some limited interaction with them. Which helps develop an appreciation for them. Accordingly, they are more likely to become scientists/biologists who will prefer studying them as opposed to hunting them down for their body parts to produce snake oil recipes as in some parts of the world.

  • @martakepes Its for science.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 Depriving an animal to live in freedom is wrong. Even for science.

  • @aleXtrosiS You are the worst kind of person. Disregarding everything animal testing has done to help us because a couple of apes aren't in the wild.

  • I would like to see an orangutan to replace the great Steve Jobs for Apple Inc.

  • just a prove that apple products use only monkeys

  • Humans spend a lot of time behind screens too, but I doubt they could handle being released into the wild.

  • The digital world is indeed getting to this point...
