is the casio fx-85ES a graphing calculator? i need to know because i want to know if im allowed to use it for my SAT and it's in a few weeks, help ?!??
this helped me work out the standard deviation...thanks.....now i need a video to work out where to put it on the graph and the average....im soo slow haha
Choice 3 (x-sigma-n) is for calculating population SD when you know all of the pieces of data in the population.
Choice 4 (x-sigma-(n-1)) is for estimating the population SD when you have only a sample of that population.
Which of these to use has nothing to do with the size of the set of data. A population could have only 3 pieces of data. A sample could have many thousands of pieces of data.
WOW!! Thankyouuuu!! I lost the manual for my calculator and thought about using Youtube as a last resort to learn to work SD. ...but YAY :D ...unexpectidly, I found a tutorial on it :) :) xx

fyi it's choice 4 not choice 3 for a sample standard deviation. population S.D. is used for a much larger set of data.
