Most authentic hongkongers disliked Chinese from the Mainland. Many were immigrants trying to escape CCP's persecution decades ago, hence, many were sympathetic to Tibetan cause (most never viewed CCP as a legitimate gov). If people look into this issue closer, you will notice people who complain about Christina Chen's behavior are mainland Chinese pretending to be Hong Kong Chinese (or new immigrants to HK). So please ignore those "fake hkers" who claim we are part of china.
@Balencian too many china through to hong kong, being fake hong konger, I already know.. too many hong kong is gone out of town from Hong Kong, hong kong people is gone independent live in other countries.. exact me, I'm not in Hong Kong..I live in canada.. I'm mad Goverments in hong kong, I understand here english, what happen about china who don't give freedom speech!!.. shame on it fake Hong Konger, make of us unlet Freedom our citizen!!...
Hk police are actually quite competent and kinda got stuck in all these political mess. Please bare in mind, if HK government don't take actions, CCP in Beijing will take action and restrict even more freedom of speech in HK. But plz keep in mind, those so called "Hkers (other than the police)" in the video who attacked the girl are speaking mandarin...(Hkers speak Cantonese). The population in Hk is generally supportive of a Free Tibet.
She is as heroic and as brave as the "unknown Rebel" the 19 year old student who stood up to the tanks in Tiananme square in 1989. Her courage is inspiring. What are they doing in Tibet anyhow? Massacring the innocent and peaceful who want nothing to do with them. But ake away free speech, and you take away the individual's right to think and act for themselves. I cant imagine a life like that. I have never met a Chinese American who said life was better in china, far from it.
U know, u really shouldn't protest in HK. HK is part of China, and guess wt, 90% of the ppl r chinese in HK...key point... dun mess wif Chinese on Chinese soil...u r lucky the police surrounded u, otherwise, u will be in a body bag...dun believe me...y dun u do that again, ANYWHERE in HK...I'll cya in the news :D
And to let that guy in the video know, I did go to China and see the pseudo-liberty that a percentage of the population experiences. For myself it was hard to not actively voice my views while in China and I couldn't wait to get back to Hong Kong to be able to get back on the internet and write freely online and visit uncensored media sites.
Sad really to see a demonstrator being scuttled off like that in Hong Kong.I hope that the Hong Kong people will really remember their views on China before 1997, with many people lining up at foreign embassies as well as trying to get BNO's. The Tibetans are merely living the similar experience except for no place to run and no where to voice their concerns. Hong Kong people were lucky in the fact that they could collaborate with the Chinese government through the British and get its SAR status
FUCK! CHINAMEN EVERYWHERE!

You're an idiot.
Christina Chan is 100% Chinese.
Last time I checked, Hong Kong was a Special Administrative Region of China, not part of China.
Read a book.
Learn about the importance of free speech.
And google 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights'.

The Hong Kong people better stand up against acts like these before the end of freedom of speech comes creeping down the Hong Kong people's backs.
When they came to take Christina away,
I didn't speak up, because I wasn't her.
...
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one was left to speak up for me.

"Acting like a gangster which is a typical of the chinaman."
wow, that's serious case of stereo-typing. I mean, there are ppl as such ALL OVER THE WORLD :/

It seems the chinese does not understand freedom of speech. Acting like a gangster which is a typical of the chinaman.
