@BeerGeekNation Du Monde is nice and quite addictive but no way does it have the complexity and the spiciness of the White and other top notch Belgian tripels. Du Monde also doesn`t age too well, where as Chimay is magnificent with some shelf life behind it. It becomes more smoother and spicier with age.
nice review. spot on in all aspects. i love the chimay white as well probly my favourite tripel just edging out westmalle and it may be my favourite offering from chimay. it's a little bit of a toss up between it and of course the blue and it usually depends on what kind of mood i'm in haha
@browpow12 Thanks man the kind words are much appreciated! Yeah between the blue and the white id probably give it to the blue every time but your right, it really does depend on the modd for what kind of beer I want. Cheers!
@BeerGeekNation yeah i ALWAYS can find red and blue, even at krogers and giant eagles and stuff but never the white, i usually have to go to a specialty beer store for it.
@Rabadamtimtimti Agreed, Duvel is a great beer as well. I usually drink Duvel whenever Champaign is called for I think its a great alternative. Actually ive been to a few weddings where that was an option for the toast.

The Chimay beers beat all others that I've tried. The only trappist ales I haven't tried yet are Achel and Westvleteren.
