I am quite intrigued by the louvers on the baggage car behind the FL9...wonder what they were for (because I remember the FL9's being equipped with HEP)?
My mom told me she used to see the Amtrak Turboliners. They were so quiet that it felt like it was sneaking up on her. So they shocked her. also she would but coins on the tracks but she did ride a turboliner but it shook alot it rattled my dad knew it too. P.S i have the Amtrak X2000 for trainz 2010.
Very nice I remember when i was little seeing the Turbo's and the Amtrak FL-9's in the Park Avenue Viaduct around 1989 till about 1991. What happend to Amtrak's FL-9's ?
@MSNWindows7 Can i tell you some thing? the F7 might really look like one to you but to me i know the diffrences between a FL-9 and a F7: on the back of the FL-9 there is a 3-axle truck and on the front 2-axles For the F7 on both trucks there are 4 axles in total due to 2 axles on each truck. Thanks MSN if you want to learn more go to my account and PM me (Account:mark10788)
The first two sequences show original French RTG's in their rebuilt configuration. The way to tell an RTG II from an RTL is to look at the snack bar car. The counter in the RTG is at the end of the car while the RTL's is in the center. VERY nice. 5 stars and favorited.
@nyshortline Thanks for the info i wanted to learn about the turbos P.S the cascades talgo has a snack bar like the turbo RTG also the talgos were based on a european Talgo Type so amtrak copied the idea from europe and re-made the cars but in cascades.
