There was a great video version of this posted here for years. Top quality must have been for MTV. It was like a news cast with samples from the news and audio cuts. Perfect. I can't imagine why it was taken down. I'll keep searching and searching and searching until I get so pissed I burn the whole fucking town down. "ALL LIT UP LIKE THE 4TH OF JULY"
What happened to the version of this that was like a news broadcast? This is a great tune but the other video was incredible. All lit up like the Fourth of July.
@joeytwosubs WAIT A SECOND>>>> I know what you mean... that's the ALBUM cut (with the 'newscaster' overdub) this is the single (radio-release version!!!)
@pdaddyraz Yes that must be it. It was posted here for years. It had to be the official video release. The production quality was too good to be an amateur, as a matter of fact there was a homemade rip-off of the real one that sucked.
its hard to believe that this song was was kickn street 20 yrs ago .....this dude was so far ahead of his time..would love to see this kid make a come back
only 66k listens??? :) remember listening sooo long ago and came across it again. had the CD which was great (check out some of their other stuff if you like)
This is so fucking great, I can't even put in words how great this is. I have been SO into this guy (and specifically this album) since his third album. Amazing, still sounds fresh in 2011. Thank you for putting up his perfect music. To Mark: PLEASE COME OUT WITH SOME NEW MUSIC. We're still listening.
@oiyabastard Except this came out in 1991. I don't see the similarity in sound, though I do enjoy both artists. Electriclarryland gets dissed WAY too often by people who probably have not even listened to the entire album! Just because one song made the charts does not mean the whole effort was a sellout. "Who Was In My Room Last Night" was a big hit PLUS it's on an album they released after moving to a major label, nobody gripes about that.
Check out the fun lovin criminals. They rock the same kinda smoothe sound, especially on thier early albums; come find yourself, 100% columbian, welcome to poppys and loco. I think you might dig all of them.
there was this skate shop in the mall. they were giving away this single on cassett when you bought some shoes. i heard this song and got the shoes and the single. i didnt even skate. this song changed my life. i was the neighbourhood firebug when i was a kid. i had it real bad. i burned so much shit. i got in trouble and my folks sent me to the firestation so the big chief would give me a talkin to. all he did was sit me on a couch and show me pictures of burned children. i was 8.
calling all the names of the sleepers around; devils in hiding, lying and wait. I pray God expose and cast you down before you get near, either that or get saved. Only Jesus Heals the depraved lostness of your soul divided and manipulated by devils who had no right to take you!!! May they be used for the wood to flame the fires of hell for the destruction of innocence. I see you.
Used to hear this driving the night shift in Dallas in 1993 on 94.5 The Edge. Cool song to hear at 2:30 in the morning looking at the lights from downtown.
too bad they took off the vids of the guy blowing stuff up.... really cool ending a news report cutting in...guess its to real for the fucktards at youtube
i remember listening to this on 107.7 KNDD (seattle) the station that broke Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains. this is one of my all-time favorite alt-rock songs.
I called the local raqio station so many times to request this track- although it was not the genre they were looking for- they finally gave in to my tenacity and put it in the air, with a MASSIVE response, even the presenters named it one of their alltime favorites
This song brings back SO many memories of working at Harmony House record store in Lakeside Mall back at Christmas time 1991. Awesome, thanks for posting.

Also turns out one of this guy's other videos was on Beavis and Butthead at one point.
