Well I hope everyone learned what fireworks do in the woods. To bad there wasn't any county emergency staff there to call for help in time. I hate to see this. The venue isn't going to be letting events go on there because of this. To bad.
Shitty. I had a lot of fun at this fest and got lots of good video of the music (check my page out if ya want). Glad I had to leave Sunday night at 7 and not experience this. Sorry for the lost cars, happy for the saved lives. Good choice of music for the video!
The festival was awesome ! Everything was perfect !!! We were enjoying Malah, when we saw a huge fire from the A stage .... Tried to get to the campsite , but they won't let us go.... It was terrible to watch that from the other side and don't know if it your car on fire, couse our campsite was there were fire tracks .... We got lucky , fire didn't touch us... Can't remember when I was that happy! Sorry for all people who lost their cars and stuff ! :( it was a terrible way to end such a great
Wow. I doubt anyone will ever forget this. My friend's car was the last one to not get set on fire. All of our condolences to those who lost their cars :(
That was my car burning (the Navigator) - I'm just thankful that my brother and I weren't sleeping in there like we had been the previous two nights. Glad everyone is okay. Condolences to the other car owners and the people who lost their campsite. Sucks that the car is gone, and also sucks that all my clothes, shoes, blankets and camping gear is gone :( At least this didn't happen on Friday night and would have ruined the weekend. Any information on how or who started the fire is appreciated.
@raspo86 Daryl Wolff (Aura's Organizer) called to let me know that he had witnesses come forward on Monday during tear-down that said they saw the fire start. An unknown individual was firing bottle rockets across from my car (Toyota Avalon beside the Navigator). A rocket fell and shot under the car; he apparently climbed under my car to try to stomp out the grass fire but it just spread it around... After failing to put out the fire he grabbed his bookbag and ran. Thankfully no one was hurt.
