The documentary they just ran on the National Geographic channel was really amazing. They examined the original footage and ran it through a computer program to give a look at the famous footage in HD. Im now on the fence on this one.
I'm firmly of the opinion that there are enough reports and evidence to merit bigfoot at least being taken seriously. Whether it exsists or not is another question, but if its real, it would be a great discovery, and if its not real, it shows us as humans a part of our mind that seems to need to project ourselves into nature. Either way, bigfoot is something worth investigating.

Reports of the odor just creep me out all to hell! Too many people have reported it, and wild animals don't smell like that. It makes me think that something humanlike is out there. As I said, I'm a skeptic, but I always take film, not just video, with me in the woods - just in case.
Take a gun too. You'll thank me if you DO run into Bigfoot or anything else dangerous. You can always take pictures AFTER you kill one, but at least if you've got a gun, you've got a better chance of being alive to take the pictures.

True. Since dogs have a stronger sense of smell then humans. Perhaps the dogs smell the odor that in some reports of Sasquatch sightings people have smelled. Since dogs sense of smell is stronger maybe that's the reason.

You need to get some better listening skills. The guy at 00:16 is merely giving estimates of the creature's size (He used the words "approximately" and "about", not words like "exactly" and "precisely".) from his recollection of the encounter, not verified measurements. Furthermore, it was never said that this story serves as "proof" of bigfoot's existence - it's just a story like many others.

If you watch The History Channel's videos from the program "Monster Quest: Sasquatch Attack" in that video they show how DNA research may lead to the discovery of these creatures, if they do in fact exist.

In the USA, it's against the law to kill a bigfoot in just ONE county of the state of Washington. That would be Skamania County, which passed such a law back in 1969. However, if bigfoot were to become officially classified as a new species in the USA, it would more than likely be protected by the Endangered Species Act, which is a federal law.

I think the thing exists. Or, at least existed. Maybe they've all died out over the past 40 years. Not to mention the more you study the film that doesn't look like any gorilla suit I've ever seen. I don't think those two guys had much, if any experience as even half-assed special effects people .

The documentary they just ran on the National Geographic channel was really amazing. They examined the original footage and ran it through a computer program to give a look at the famous footage in HD. Im now on the fence on this one.

I'm firmly of the opinion that there are enough reports and evidence to merit bigfoot at least being taken seriously. Whether it exsists or not is another question, but if its real, it would be a great discovery, and if its not real, it shows us as humans a part of our mind that seems to need to project ourselves into nature. Either way, bigfoot is something worth investigating.

Sorry to burst another emina's bubble, but PGF is not fake, fake, fake - it's real, real, real. And found to be so by expert scientific opinions, just because some goofball 'confesses a hoax' doesn't mean it's the truth. Since when does words at face value count as evidence? Just like skeptics wonder about eyewitnesses, so do we about that goofball. There is absolutely nothing anywhere saying the film's fake, it's all in the minds of the deniers, they want it to be fake so assumptions overtake.

Someone DID shoot a bigfoot - a child bigfoot in 1967. Frank Hansen's "Minnesota Iceman" that the great Scottish zoologist, Ivan T. Sanderson made a study of. Hansen, however, was an idiot and an opportunist who exploited his find and lied about how he acquired the poor creature, as he most certainly shot the youngster in the back from about 20 feet and then shot him in the face, blowing out the left eye.

There is one problem with Bigfoot, no matter what evidence is proven for its exsistance no one will ever believe unless a real body is discovered even then some wouldn't believe. I'm on the fence about Bigfoot! Do I believe something like this has never existed - no. Do I believe something like this could exists today - unsure. I think Bigfoot is better left undiscovered. If one was found the magic of the unknown would be gone. I think we may never no for sure whether they exists or not!

What points to it being fake? It's said to be fake so that it can be avoided. If it is fake, Patterson, the person who made the suit and the person who wore it were geniuses of make-up and animal movement mimicry. But Patterson wasn't anything special - the creature he filmed however was something very special and very real.

The 'Patterson' footage was fake, fake,fake. The 'suit' was made by a 'suit maker', and Patterson later admitted to it being a fake. I'm not saying that Big Foot isn't real, however, if one wants to prove its existence they will have to produce a body to do so. The person that wore the suit ( for the video) was later quote as saying, "I was scared a hunter would shoot me".

Frank Hansen produced a body in THE SAME YEAR - 1967! The world-renowned Scottish, ie. deeply sceptical zoologist, Ivan T. Sanderson studied the corpse for THREE DAYS and declared it 100% real, an authentic previously-alive creature or as we Scots say, "crater". A beasty! Once alive, but shot in that back then face by that dirty, greedy coward, Hansen. That bigfoot crater was only 10-12 years old. A minor. Hansen was a liar and bum but his find was REAL, folks.

Patterson, as I already said, stated that it was a hoax. they even interviewed the man who wore 'the suit'. The body (the "Minnesota Iceman") that Hansen had was longer exibited to the public after 1978/79 and Hansen himself hasn't been heard from since. You can read Ivan T. Sanderson's 36-page detailed account of his inspection of the creature in the book, "THE SEARCH FOR BIGFOOT" by Peter Byrne (Acropolis Books, 1975).
As for Bob Heironimus claiming he wore the suit, it's preposterous, as, for one thing, Bob Heironimus was WAY shorter than the creature, he was of slight build. Nah, it was real.

Reports of the odor just creep me out all to hell! Too many people have reported it, and wild animals don't smell like that. It makes me think that something humanlike is out there. As I said, I'm a skeptic, but I always take film, not just video, with me in the woods - just in case.

Although I respect the former hunter for trying to photograph Bigfoot, if it were me, I'd take the camera AND a few guns. Unfortunately the only way Bigfoot will be accepted as real will be by having a specimen, living OR dead. That's why I despise those two yokels who hoaxed a Bigfoot body recently, because now the scepticism is greater than ever.

I think if you go out looking for it, you won't find it. Just go camping a lot in it's territory and always be prepared. Keep your camera around your neck. Then only then will you get an opportunity for a photo! Just my opinion.

True. Since dogs have a stronger sense of smell then humans. Perhaps the dogs smell the odor that in some reports of Sasquatch sightings people have smelled. Since dogs sense of smell is stronger maybe that's the reason.

You need to get some better listening skills. The guy at 00:16 is merely giving estimates of the creature's size (He used the words "approximately" and "about", not words like "exactly" and "precisely".) from his recollection of the encounter, not verified measurements. Of course he was in shock when he saw the bigfoot - his exact words were, "and I was scared, too." Furthermore, it was never said that this story serves as "proof" of bigfoot's existence - it's just a story like many others.

In the USA, it's against the law to kill a bigfoot in just ONE county of the state of Washington. That would be Skamania County, which passed such a law back in 1969. However, if bigfoot were to become officially classified as a new species in the USA, it would more than likely be protected by the Endangered Species Act, which is a federal law.
