cheers for the comment. In some respect progress is an unfortunate thing. I used to attend Henry Harbin School that sits right next to the Carriage sidings so the majority of my class 47's were got there and on the local freight between Hamworthy & Furzebrook. Its a shame that the Cross country service no longer operates from Poole but there you have it Progress... what a marvolous thing it is :)
nice one hst... i cabbed several 40's & 47's thanks to my dad... trouble is i didn't appreciate it much at the time because because i was very young ;-)
great stuff vulcan is my fav 47 coz i seen her several times at manchester piccadilly as well as traction magazine and others... and my dad drove her in british rail days... cheers ;-)
