Anyone who does not believe Dave is just spoiling for a fight... It's just silly. I was among the first groups to sample the Jelly Belly's that were distributed by Dave through Fossellmann's Ice Cream. We had a blast trying out new flavors as Dave developed further the product HE INVENTED.

Wait dave gave away the brand he helped create? I understand Dave was one of the many hands in the invention of the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean but im sure he didnt give it away. Idc who the director is, a director can be anyone... Sounds like you guys are a little angry at Jelly Belly for some reason

Its Costa Botes here director of Candyman, not Dave. FYI, Candyman deals with the creation of the product, and the effect on its inventor of giving it away. It is not an official history of the product. The Jelly Belly Company has plenty to say about its history since 1980. It should be pointed out that Jelly Belly was a successfully established national brand when Dave sold the trademark. Props to JBC for expanding their commercial success since, but the inventor's role can't be overlooked.

No i just like to get the story from the horses mouth so to speak, Just intresting that from what i hear about the movie that you make Jelly Belly Candy Co. that there the bad guy... I dont need a documentary to tell me facts when the Jelly Belly history is know in the industry. Why didnt dave make this documentary 20 years ago? If thats really dave klein responding, why do you have disappointments and anger toward Jelly Belly? they are the inventors too!

From a manufactures point of view, you on your own could not of invented the Jelly Bean/Jelly Belly product by yourself. Thats all i am pointing out...

Informal statements? Has this person ever seen a documentary before? The film offers a thorough account, it's factual, and verifiable. All significant parties involved in creating Jelly Belly are acknowledged. That's it.

@comet3onthetre David Klein here...I hope that your life is filled with nothing but happiness and that every accomplishment of yours will be recognized as coming from you and not from someone else. You are only 23 now and you can do anything your heart desires. .I spent four long years getting this product off the ground. This meant I lost four years of watching my two kids grow up. No one on their death bed ever said that he wished he had spent more time at the office.
