The US cop cars have t o have such a big motor as the basic charger is about 1800kg before you put bulit proof glass etc on the thing, the M5's gota be half a ton lighter, so as long as theirs a bend in the road (you get them in europe ;-) ) , it's probably not possible to call from the stats alone, why not export a euro M5 to america and do some donuts in a parking lot ? settal the question real quickly :-)

It was an old M3 with only 190 HP.. The M5 here has 400 HPs and the new M5 has 500 HP and new M3 has about 418.

Errm I don't think I said anything wrong apart from mis remembering a video i saw on telly once? , And as for 195BHP E30 M3 , ow yeah thats gona rock , they have about the same mass as a set of wheels for a modern M3 ;-) (slight exageration) (195/1.3 ton = 150bhp/ton)

here the police will almost never ram into the suspect, and the cars are "slow". Well it will be sufficient for most cars, but my 2.5 V6 is already faster and its "only" 200hp. My car would lose to an charger.

But either way de m5 (even the 4.9 400hp) is faster than the charger Hemi.

haha sure, the american dodge charger for the police is only fitted with an 3.5l v6, and this car has an 507 hp v10, without limiter it can reach speeds up to 205mph, on a highway a copter cant keep up. most dont even reach a 150mph.

Some of the police chargers around here have the Hemi, but it's still got all that extra police equipment to lug around. You'd be better suited using a police unmarked Camaro for it. Even better, one of those DARE police Lamborghinis or Corvettes I've seen are even better suited for it!
