After hearing this gem from the chanel advert, I could not help but recognise the dulcet tones of a very young Mr Jagger. still cool as always, long live The Stones.
I was 9 freakin' years old when I first heard this. I still have the 45 (several actually). My neighbor had a decent record player for back then and I'd bring the record over to his house and we'd listen to it. His mom, dad and sister - all had a problem with it and said friend was told I was a bad influence LOL ! It did tend tot bring out the bad boy in me :-)
Whats a 'one eyed bluff' anyhow ?? (Ya had to be there).
The rawest Stones tune ever ...KEEF - you da man !! Thanks 4 the mamories...
@nschulz4537 Thanks! You are right! It makes more sense! But to tell you the truth, it's very difficult to me to understand (spanish mother tongue) which one is used by Mick!
This song was undoubtedly one of the loudest, hardest rocking songs in 1964. The Beatles, Fabian and The Beach Boys were the competition back then...and I can't think of any band that would have been this loud and obnoxious back then, except maybe the then-brand-new Kinks. Love it!
I have been a Stones fan for almost 30 years. I heard this for thei frist time on that Chanel commercial and I knew right away it was Mick's voice and realized it was the Stones. That's what I love about them. Just when I think I've heard them all, I ind a new one and it's like a present on Christmas day. Same feeling. Thanks for posting.
@GrosBil4 Oh man ... LOL !! I saw your '30 years' and thought 'theres another from back in the day' ...that is until I did the math. In 3 years, if I'm still above room temp., it will be 50 freakin' years ago that I bought this record !!
For the love of ... where in the hell did the time go ?? LOL !! In '64 it woulda been like listenin' to music from freakin' 1914 !! I didn't even wanna hear 50's music in '64 !! OK, almost laughed myself to death there ... one can have too much fun at my age ..
@giligara30492 I'm sorry but you're wrong ! On may 10th, 2010 I posted the original of this song when MrVivacious posted its only 4 months later (sept 2, 2010). At this time, I was the only one on YouTube that has this. Another thing, I posted "She Said Yeah" one month before Bleu de Chanel commercial with Gaspard Ulliel directed by Martin Scorcese. My original recording is on YouTube address : youtube.com/watch?v=uw_KNERT4zQ
this still reminds me of Gaspard Ulliel lol.. Bleu De Chanel advert is the best advert i've seen for ages.. then i found out The Rolling Stones sang this double bonus!
I'm not going to be the person I'm expected to be anymore.

Paul McCartney did a version of this tune. It is not as good as the Rolling Stones version. The Rolling stones are great.

Great song!! But "poor heart hazy" sounds like russian name "BORIS"

Great song! Thanks!
But the lyrics:
"Come on baby, let's ride away in the rain"
I've seen that online in tons of places. It's actually:
"Come on baby, let me buy the wedding ring"
Which makes a ton more sense, if you think about it.
