  • Dude, I think I have the same organ you do! It's a T-233, and it's got the same hunk missing off of the right side! I'll post a video of it a little later, but I'm sure that's the same organ!

  • Yep, same one. The piece that's missing on mine is actually from when I tripped and hit my head on it years ago. The broken off part got lost, otherwise I would have fixed it.

  • I have a question about spinets. Can you actually play bass notes on the lower manual?

  • The lower manual is only down to 8' pitch, and does not go nearly as low as what the bass pedals play, but you can still use it for rhythm and such.

They are not the same as a full console such as a B3 or C3, which can play the same pitch as the bass pedals on either manual.

  • Thanks for your reply!

I'm considering buying Hammond in the future and you know, spinets are cheaper that consoles :)

But I think Vincent Crane (Crazy World of Arthur Brown) played his L-122 and used lower manual as bass line. And he did very well :)

  • Great tone!

  • I have an XTP which is essentially the same organ with removable speakers. Love it!

  • Not Bad!! Sounds good! I could only imagine what this baby would do with a full recap job. Is the Leslie internal?

  • Yes, all of the T-200 series had an internal single rotor Leslie with an 8" speaker. The main organ speakers are dual 12". The bass pedals sound great on this organ.

  • A techinal note: Mr Hammon was not a musician. He was a mechanical engineer! He discovered if he cut enough sets of gears with the ratio of 89 / 84 , that ratio was well within specs of the 12th root of 2, the ratio for equaly tempered music scale. Then a synconous motor for the A/C line frequency and walla !! The organ was always in tune ! Check the ratio out on your hand calculator !! Good Luck on your projects !

  • just a technical note: "walla" is actually spelled "viola." :)

  • it's voila ;)

  • haha woops. that was a typo! i call do-over!

  • Sounds great to me.
