Rob, like your Vierne, this is top-drawer. Do you know Cocker's Tuba Tune? A real honker; give it a try. Ah, now I see one reason your playing is so seemingly effortless: not just plenty of relaxation and hours of practice - you look really tall as well. No need to pivot or rear-end walk along the seat.
!!! Hi stefanussen !!! !!! Wath a WONDERFULL TALENT !! EXELENT EJECUTION !! Wath organ is this ? I don"t know this organ, but me like the GREAT sound . Happy New Year, my best wishes to you and all your Family !!!
I love this tune and the way you play it! I've enjoyed your videos and am intrigued by this hauptwerk organ. It looks like you recently upgraded to a 4 manual keyboard. How expensive are the keyboards and pedalboard for the hauptwerk setup? Hope you'll keep recording more videos.
This is the way the piece is written, and I've played this piece like this, pipes speak instantaneously when air is let out, because thats why wind pressure is adjusted, to make sure they do.
That's the craziest thing I have ever heard. You just have to be a little ahead all the time when playing with Tubas as in this piece. Even on a pneumatic organ, this is no problem. Fast repeated rythms can be thoe.

Too fast: the music is more important than the organist.
Music is the silence between the notes, said Debussy: there are not enough spaces between notes here because- it's too fast - wrong and glitched notes aside. 7/10
If you were to play the piece as written, then it would be faster than this, there is no such thing as playing things correctly, we have our own tastes, and interpretations, don't criticize someone else's interpretation of something because its not how you would play it, that is wrong in my view, because it destroys the idea of performing music. If you're going to criticize someone's performance, keep it to yourself, don't favorite the video, and don't rate it. Unless they ask for your advice.
@BeFrSc I hear you there! I hate it when 15 year olds just learning a piece think they know enough to criticise your interpretation of a piece you have been playing 20 years. Not only that, but I hope that my videos do not spawn 20000 clarinettists playing the same way I do! Man I love the organ though, what an amazing sound!! Wish I could play...
In young years, Debussy went to study for Franck. Franck wanted him to modulate but Debbusy answered; why modulate when I feel fine in the key i'm playing in? We all have different oppinions.
Music is not only made by pauses. Much music doesn't even have pauses!
I tremendous performance of this delightful piece by C.S. Lang. I have never played it this fast, but I'm going to try it at this tempo after hearing you. The solo trumpet is sublime.
@stefanussen Organ tuning can be slightly maddening. I play an 1863 instrument with a crazy Victorian tuning that although it is a wonderful instrument makes it a wee bit difficult to play with modern instruments. Your instrument is amazing. Many thanks
Hello again. Can I get a list of the computer equipment you have. Such as computer brand, model and if you have added anything to it, and other stuff to make this organ play
By far your best piece yet. The Tuba is very stately is that the one from Chicago? It would be very helpful if you went through the steps that you took to put together your "Virtual Organ". Again, Fantastic execution. Lots of "Spirit".
Hi, cinj9. Nice to see a fellow Cincinnatian, I lived there for 11 years. I will see what I can do in terms of some sort of documentary of my setup. This organ is from Metz, France. The tuba is the 8' Trompette on the Positiv which I re-voiced for this piece. Glad you like it!
I too would like a tour. What I would like to see is how you created the organ using Hauptwerk. Such as what components you put together to make such a nice instrument, and where you got the parts. It sounds so grand, and your playing is wonderful.
Hi macwrite, could you elaborate on what you mean by a tour? Do you want me to make a video demonstrating the features, stops, etc? If you could clarify that, I would be happy to try to accommodate your request.

The oegan is not a piano - there is no staccato becausre this would not allow enough time for the pipes to speak.
Play the left hand with more sostenuto.

well played but it's in the wrong key. Your playing a semitone too low - maybe it's the recording.
