  • very good motor very good..Evinrude is the best!!

  • Thats got a be one heavy ass boat to only run 38.5 mph with a 90. I've got a 15x52 alweld V La model with a 50 tohatsu and I get 39.1 mph with stock aluminum prop

  • awesome i like it.....

  • trolls excellent and very efficent could go all day on a couple litres of gas

  • How's your e-tec troll for you?

    I am looking at a 90 e-tec tiller...

  • Inline 3 cylinder 2-stroke, now that's the stuff!

One of the finest engines on the market IMHO.

  • Light aluminum boats can use all moveable weight toward the stern. If you put a higher pitch stainless prop on there you can trim up even more and get a higher top-end speed.

  • 2 strokes all the way baby

  • @colcons7 ya there fast but very smoky and dirty and less fuel efficient as 4 strokes.

  • @TheSnowman110 these new 2 strokes still meet californias green house gas emmission laws.

  • it's over propped....get a prop with less pitch, you'll increase your top end speed and give your lower unit a break...

  • love the video,, but do you have rocks in your boat? a 16' alum should be well over 40 with a 90 john-rude,,, my old 16 foot,, GLASS bow rider did 42 with a 90 johnrude... either way,, nice engine,,

  • Gotta luv them v4s!

  • i have a joshon 90hp v4 1994 motor and it only go 25 we havn't had a boat years ago. and we dont have the owners manual wondering if anyone can help us send pic to my email of throttle adjustment please and thank you.

  • good job mate looks like the perfect rig

  • why is it so slow??

  • I've been looking at buying an old boat locally with a Johnson V4 90. That's a 20ft by 7ft glass fiber cabin boat. I was looking on specifcally as wondering if 90hp was enough. After seeing this vid I'd say it's plenty enough! Thanks for the vid

  • i have the same motor and a 16.8 ft boat goes 45 you should experiment with props

  • what does your boat weigh and what size type prop do you turn on your motor this boat/motor driver is 1900lbs

  • I've got a 15' Boston Whaler with a Yamaha 70 and it goes 40+!

  • Sweet - I've got a Whaler 15 too with a 50 Honda. Don't you love going all month on a tank of gas? :-)

  • doesnt harsh acceleration cause any premature wear and tear?...

  • my dads 16 foot whaler does about the same with a 90 etec. nice engines

  • sounds nice

  • Sounds like the old 70's from the 1970's!
