The thing about learning Chinese is that they don't use a phonetic alphabet, just symbols. Why couldn't we be conquered by someone with an easier system of writing and speaking?

It is the super rich driving this in the name of economic efficiency. The average American couldn't be bothered with the country's politics and have been complacent for far too long. Thank you. This is one of the things that brings home to me in a scary way that they have "something else" planned for the near future. What are we all to work at? Or, are "we all" to work? Are we only going to have jobs or those under 35? What will happen to the millions of us?Are we supposed to die off?

This has been something that has troubled me for a long time. Neither political party has addressed this issue. They keep telling us how it's not that important because our economy has replaced these jobs with other types of jobs. And to that I say:

"Would you like fries with that sir?"

I wonder who a service economy can service when the rest of the world starts providing all of the services that the rest of the world needs.
