  • Tony George looks pissed. Probably thought he'd never see the day that Gordon, who shunned Indy cars for NASCAR, win on his track in a stock car.

  • Who knew the greatest Jeff Gordon would go on to have. This one win made his career, everything else was just gravy!

  • good win jeff

  • Ernie Irvan just had the WORST luck

  • i cant believe Jeff got his 2nd win on that race and now 16 years later, 82 wins. he's an amazing driver and i admire his driving talents

  • Come on Jeff you need to win again!

    w-w-w [dot] 24pit [dot] tk

  • Will always be his biggest win.

  • @pat02537 wat about Gordon's coke 600 win earlier that year. that was a big win for him also.

  • @fanofgordon

We all miss ol BP, what a great announcer.. great and genuine emotion.

  • this win and the 600 win started the dynasty of Jeff Gordon

  • Someone blowing a tire at Indy? I'm shocked.

    :sarcasm:

  • He said that about as often as Ned Jarrett said, "Aw, that's too bad." He even did that in the ESPN2 legends race at Bristol...

Well, they're less annoying catch phrases than the FOX crew's. "Boogity boogity boogity", "crank it up", blah blah blah.

Jarrett and Parsons at least made NASCAR acceptable to the American mainstream. DW now wants to take it back a few decades...

  • I always liked Ken Squire.

  • Leave fox news out of it you brainwashed lemming

  • I said nothing about any news, dude. I was talking about FOX's racing broadcasts...

  • Oh sorry

  • "When there have been 79 stock car races have been run here we will remember Jeff Gordon... Great stuff.

  • @flagman09 and that's why Bob Jenkins will always be legendary.

  • I remember being a Gordon fan and thinking, cool even if he never wins another race he made history today. Had no Idea what he would go on to do in his career. #24 is the man.

  • Chad kadnus won 5 times as a hendrick crew member, correct me if im not correct. Plus, as of 2009 all the 'full time' hooser driver drive chevys.

  • Wasnt he on the team until 1998? He was on 3 championship seasons i believe.

  • Huh? Mark Martin, Michael Waltrip, Jeff Gordon, Bobby Labonte, and Jeff Burton are I believe the only drivers who were full-time both 1994 and this year. Which of these drivers were on Hoosier tires then? I know Martin and Gordon were on Goodyears, and Burton's the only other Chevy driver among that list.

  • No Hoosier means people who where raised in Indiana. so yeah John Andretti, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Ryan Newman drive chevys this year!

  • Yeah, I know what Hoosier means. I just thought you were talking about drivers who drove on Hoosier tires in 1994... My bad.

  • what a great commentry from bob jenkins and BENNY Parsons.

  • yea those guys knew how to call a race...i liked baker and jarred too

  • thanks for posting these vids racermac

  • My buddy said he cut a tire.............

    hahahhahah BULLSHIT...............

his tire went after Jeff passed him!

    eiter way............hahahhahahhaha

    JG24 RULES

    WOULDA

    SHOULDA

    COULDA!

  • Awesome!

  • Man Oh Man Oh Man!!!!!

  • Poor Ernie, he had such bad luck all through his career. Lol back then the trophy was tiny.

  • The win that put Jeff Gordon on the NASCAR map!! Felt bad for Ernie though, got robbed in 1996 here too.

  • Same here.
