@dandees39 Yes there is a basic remote that comes with the set. It just controls the speed of the loco, bell, and horn. Its not a DCS remote. It let you leave the contarl panal and still control your speed. Great question. Take care and stay safe out there.
@kenvsryu555 Yes, It has all the normal freight sounds that MTH puts into there premier locos. I didnt use them all. It would have take up to much time. I try to keep the videos to 10 mins. anything after that, we lose attenion. Take care and stay safe out there,

Soon Proto 3 and wireless drawbars will be features in the Ready to Run sets. MTH is changing big time with their products. Can't wait to see more of your vids. Thanks for sharing!

what did you do with the track? i am sellilng tons of realtrax to replace with scaletrax but is this set worth getting and selling the track? or should i just get the engine and cars from premier?
@ripjump12 Thanks for the comment. I run Lionel Fastrack. I ended up keeping the realtrax in the box, Im planing on keep the set in one pc. If you are just geting into DCS and have tight cuvers, buy the set. I found the premier need O-42 and wider. I think the cars are pretty close to premier. Take care and stay safe out there.
dude this is an awesome set. you live in Indy too. That is really cool!!! i volunteer up at indiana transportation museum and one of our horns was stolen months ago but we found it.

I just recently saw this set at my local hobby shop and was considering it... The detail is very nice on the stack cars.... But I'm still not sure about the clearence for those puppies, they are tall as hell... Thanks for sharing the review.... Hope you have a very Merry Christmas !!!
@puttrainguy I picked up the BNSF version of this set. A nice one. The stack cars clear my tunnel by just under a tenth of an inch. One of my LHS's can't run it on some of the loops on his layout as the cars won't clear tunnels, retaining walls, etc.
Its a great set. I picked up the BNSF from my preferred LHS for $300 and before anyone asks....it was previously discounted plus he took out the track and transformer which I don't need.
@puttrainguy Doc, Go get the set, u wont b sorry. The cars are 5.5" from the top of the rail to the top of the car. Keep up the great detail work on your layout and the Doc & Rooch Show. Take care and stay safe out there. Merry christmass to u too. !!!

Nice. I did not know that it has the defect detector sounds the sound is awesome. I plan on getting just the BNSF SD70ACe alone without any cars.
