@ns281256 Hmm, good to know. I thought there was supposed to be a little. Actually I got that from the manual. I wouldn't doubt it being wrong though.
Hi fren, thanks for sharing. On the other hand, this particular Giant NRS(Non Resonance System) frame was design to have no sag at all with rider on bike. It will only start to displace when going thru some evenness on trail/road. Just sharing ;-)
i have a 8 foot trailer for a bicycle that i carry lawnmowers on and i am wanting to get a air shock so i can lower the trailer and raise it to get the mowers on and off should i go with a bicycle air shock or a high pressure pneumatic cylinder?
pressure in the hose and pressure in the cylinder is in equilibrium and is therefor the same provided the valve is open. the change you mention is from a small amount of air escaping on removing the couple between the hose and the chamber. I dont even look at the pressure, i just pump up/or let down until im happy with the sag. I use the guage as a pointer only.
Nah pressure doesn't go "in the hose"... air does, but the pressure is constant throughout the whole system. If there's 250 in the hose then there's 250 in the shock... And when the air inside the shock escapes you lose a fraction of that pressure. It corresponds not to the volume of the air inside the hose, but to the amount that leaves the shock when you hear it hiss. The faster you unscrew it the better. I'd reconnect the hose and look at exactly how much psi I lost, then pump the difference.
um i got a manitou radium r and im having some trouble on the rebound.. it is SUUUUUPER SLOW how can i change this? just pump it up with more air? i havent put any air in it yet its at stock pressure 160 psi i think... help!
i have a rear shock that is supposed ti be clamped down on one side and is bolted on on the other side. the reason why im telling everybody this is because im interested in buying a new rear shock but i cant find any that would go on my bike because all the shocks are mounted with screws on both sides, and mine is mounted with a screw on one side and the other is clamped down
Slower rebound is good on very technical stuff, and this is especially true of the fork but will help on the shock as well. When hitting big obstacles more slowly, you won't get 'pogo-ed'. If the ride is fast with washboard, or lots of successive fast small hits, your fork and shock will suffer 'pack-up' if the rebound is set too slow where it will not have enough time to rebound and get packed up and have no travel at all. Slow rebound in the right terrain is a good thing.
hi im thinking about changeing my rear shock i think its bad now
on the web sites the show shock like this one and others for 6.5 to 1.5 is that the different sizes it will fir on or is it something else
i talked to some people and they said changeing the rear shock on my bike since they had one made all the difference in the world it seems to blow air now
like a shees shees when you bounce its a 100mm or around 4 inch travel bike
i have a Schwinn ditch 3.0 and i want to get rid of the original spring in the rear suspension. instead i want to put in an air shock (sice its cheaper than nitrogen or oil) what shock do you recommend for less than 50$. also i would like to eliminate pedal bob during on road riding what should i do
As long as the length could match up you could make it work. I see you have a spring rear shock, air is a much different feel. If you're riding Urban style I would stick with the spring shock and just get a stiffer one.
Oops I mean 'unevenness'. I'm riding a NRS2 frame ;-)

What is the name with which adjusts the pressure of the rear air suspension?
or do as I ask in a bike shop? and how many of you set a rear air suspension from brand DNM AO-22?

too much shock bounce might be bad if your going down steep hills. too much shock on the front can cause more forward instability

@camboy1132 Yeah, I lock them both out on climbs.
Johnnysshop 6 months ago
what would happen if you put an 8in suspension on the rear? rather then the 7in u got on now?
also, how do you measure which shock you can put in the rear?
thanks for answer!
lakiask8ter660 7 months ago
@lakiask8ter660 Depends on the bike really. On this bike a longer shock won't really work. You measure the shock from eye to eye (bolt holes).
