I have two views on abortion. One is constitutionally, and other is religiously.

I don't know if you are looking for political coverage of this election or not, but McCain talks about the economy, the war and gas prices. He is for trickle down economics through tax cuts (proven to work by Reagan), he was a proponent of the surge that is working, and wants the Iraqis to start taking control of their own country while the US maintains a reduced presence, and he is for domestic drilling (which just the mere speculation of, dropped oil prices) and development of renewable energy
I will give you that John McCain is a corporate shill, like Dubya. He is a 1%-er, in other words, part of the richest 1% of the USA.
Trickle Down/Supply Side economics, or "Voodoo Economics" as Bush senior called it at the time, is an unmitigated disaster.
Ask anyone in the Midwest whose jobs have been shipped overseas. Or all the South and Central American countries that are electing real leftwingers all over the place. Even Daniel Ortega has been re-elected in Nicaragua.

Unregulated economies can be both a blessing and a curse.
Capitalism, and more specifically, "Free Trade" has led to many lost American jobs. Lowering corporate tax rate is NOT going to help this.
When the Irish just lowered their corporate tax a few years ago, they witnessed the largest boost their economy had seen in over 250 years. Businesses from all over set up shop there, including American businesses. It also spurred economic growth here in America when Reagan did it. But you probably know something that I don't, since lowering corporate tax is not going to help keep jobs here.
That is a fine point to make, but it still doesn't change the fact the business and economic growth occurred when the Corporate tax rate was lowered to 15%. Many CEO's of companies that moved to Ireland have acknowledged this fact.
Neoliberalism has been a complete failure. There is no such thing as a free market. Capitalism does not work without regulation, any more than highways work without traffic rules.
Neoliberalism/Supply Side/Voodoo economics is a corporate philosophy. If you are not a corporation or receive your income out of dividend payments only, you are screwed.
Mom and pop stores all over the country have disappeared because of it.

Constitutionally: The subject of abortion is not constitutional, thus does not belong as an issue to the federal government as it is now. This is a states issue to decide per the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. I am okay with the 50 states deciding this issue, not the federal government.

I believe that the U.S. government is founded on a relatively liberal basis and will remain liberal or close to liberal regardless of who the next president is. I don't know if you are looking for political coverage of this election or not, but McCain talks about the economy, the war and gas prices. He is for trickle down economics through tax cuts (proven to work by Reagan), he was a proponent of the surge that is working, and wants the Iraqis to start taking control of their own country while the US maintains a reduced presence, and he is for domestic drilling (which just the mere speculation of, dropped oil prices) and development of renewable energy

1) antimonopolistic regulations
Without regulation, there is a natural tendency toward monopoly formation, wich kills competition. In other words, there are no 'free markets' that *stay* free for very long without regulation.
2) Consumer and Environmental Protection
Both of these are costs, which companies, whose mandate is to maximize profits, will try to avoid paying. It just gets passed along to the consumer/taxpayer.

Government involvement is a fine line. We have seen the result of Laissez-faire, which has been both good...and bad. Take, for example, the trusts of the 19th century, the horrible working conditions and pay of the early 20th, and the loss of American jobs due to outsourcing in the late 20th century.
Unregulated economies can be both a blessing and a curse.
Capitalism, and more specifically, "Free Trade" has led to many lost American jobs. Lowering corporate tax rate is NOT going to help this.

When the Irish just lowered their corporate tax a few years ago, they witnessed the largest boost their economy had seen in over 250 years. Businesses from all over set up shop there, including American businesses. It also spurred economic growth here in America when Reagan did it. But you probably know something that I don't, since lowering corporate tax is not going to help keep jobs here.

Ireland received 1.7 billion euros (about $3.4 billion) in subsidies from the EU from the Common Agricultural Policy alone.
The EU finances the integration of new countries into it's economic zone with a lot of taxpayer money - and for good reason.
It isn't about taxation, but what happens with those taxes.
