  • En Vogue's "No No No (Can't Come Back)" sampled this.

  • @Mikizzle15 I just found this out today after googling where EV sampled that. How in the world did you find this out youngin'? Lol

  • @kjkilojoules KJ, you already know I know my music. lol. And if you go on this website called: whosampled(dot)com they tell alot of music samples on there. It's real neat.

  • @Mikizzle15 Yes, I came across that site recently after a google search. That's how I was sent here. I wanted to include this song in my EV video that I posted in FB. Anyway, that website is very cool.

  • Get the fuck out of here with Brick---- I'm living from MY MIND---This Fucked everyone up! I was there---You're just doin Time---Commin at me!

  • MAN THAT BASS......!!!

  • This was the SHIT!!!!!!!!

  • No offense to Johnny Corporate but BRICK were true musicians! It's like asking what's best, the band that creates a hit or the dj who plays it in the club? There is nothing to compare. But thanks to Johnny Corporate for bringing some attention back to this great tune.

  • Un Freakin' real!!! Funk X Funk!!!

  • Johnny Corporate - Sunday Shoutin'

  • now, i like living from the mind by brick..... but i also like sunday shouting by johnny corporate....but which ones better, theresonly one way to find out!!!!.....

  • True music from the 70's .

  • TOP SHELF !

  • On the ads for the drink WKD, in the UK they copy this tune.

The ads are pretty funny, specially the one where the girl is having a relaxing bath, and her husband comes running in, and sits on the toilet.

Next time the ad is on have a listen, it's definitely this song, though I think it may be someone elses version, and not Bricks, they use

  • today's music is all sizzle & no damn steak. I miss the 'ol days when music was not piggy-backed, performers had musical knowledge, singers needed no electronic alteration and oftentimes there was a (useful) message in the music....I remember at high school / house parties when this came on, there was a stampede to the dance floor...i hope i didn't step on someone's mouth...

  • @btinsley1 I agree 99%. The 1% I disagree with is that today's music has sizzle. It has wrapping, bit no sizzle.

  • Got the original album on vinyl. Ray Ransom was killin that bass on this jam !

  • Strepitoso funk dai Brick

  • kwest da madd ladd

  • BRICK!!!!!!! AWESOME!!

  • O M G Great.

  • thank GOD i was a teen when this came out !!!! I wouldn't want to be a teen nowadays....with all these image-conscious, no talent nobodys rappin on a mike about nothin'....why i oughta....

  • soooooooooooo underrated it makes you want to scream..ever bit as talented as the commordores or earth wind and fire..never got their props and ulitmately Forgotton about..this song is great flying down the interstate or traveling on the free way

  • firme post

  • Yaggfu front-Still looking for a contract

I think Kwesi the Madd Ladd sampled this, too.

  • House version: Johnny Corporate - Sunday Shoutin (2000) ♥

  • This is simply the best,

Brick 1977 my favorite album all round

    woot woot!

  • YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!1 i love weeeners

  • Hell yeah, muthafuckas!

  • thanks for the recommend never hear this one

  • I love the bass doublestop opening.

You don't hear music played quite like this anymore.

You HAD to play this at any party that you threw, or you got talked about really bad!

  • @free2bpoppie I rember those house parties. A simpler time

  • No one does the horn/flute and bass combo like BRICK..they were geniusus at what they put together. Brick was a one of a kind group having their own trademark. That is how it was back in the day, all the great REAL GROUPS performed their skills and mastered their crafts to the best of their abilities. I HATE THE MUSIC ENTERTAINERS TODAY, it's all FLASH with NO SUBSTANCE. It's the same with most everything in ENTERTAINMENT TODAY. The only thing great is the VARIOUS TECHNOLOGY.

  • thats why all popular music pretty much sucks today...they dont do it to the full....underground does though, real music that nowerdays. popular stuff is too simple and bland

  • @infantrygerbil

The TRICK to writting a GOOD COMMENT, is to PUT THINGS IN CAPS every now and then.

  • @infantrygerbil

That's because we're now in the postmodern.

  • @infantrygerbil As an musician and a producer I totally agree

  • .....i am not getting any work done! Thanks for posting.

  • erik morillo sample this song

  • So happy I grow up with this music

  • man, this brings back the memories,

    we NEED more funk!

  • They had an amazing instrumental on The Good High album entitled, "Southern Sunset" that i love. Also, the great ballad, That's What it's All About

  • You know I`m old head in the marines back in the 80`s but it is always good to hear fine ass music!!!!!!

  • This is the shit back then and now.!!!!

  • yeah Baby =)

  • FUNK

  • Bad, Bad, Kut!!!

  • This was one of my favorite jams from the Brick record besides the song Happy.

  • Tommy Stewart came from Atlanta too--Bump and Hustle Music!

  • I always loved Brick. These guys are really tight. I played this song through a pair of good headphones and it sounded awesome!Brick is a band that can turn your frown upside down!

  • There is also a track called "Put Your Hands On" by No Halo. They flipped this sample as well.

  • This track was sampled by Yaggfu Front and by Kwest the Madd Ladd in the 90's...A beat like this will never die.

  • Fantastic funk!

  • So this is where Johnny Corporate came from I knew it had to be a blast from the past to sound so good!

  • WOW....I had their albums but i didn't know they were from Atlanta. Just like S.O.S. Band was from Atlanta. Man just listening to this with my eyes closed it seem like back in the day. I never got to see them live though.

  • extremely underrated gem. nice. classic Brick.

  • CLASSIC BRICK LIKE NON OTHER

  • underrated group

  • The greatest group that came out of Atlanta, Georgia!

  • Thank you for posting this as a video response to the Johnny Corporate "remix". Good to know :)
