@fallen6968 In my opinion the true "metal" Bodom died in 2003. Some say HCDR is still like they're older stuff but it's not. Crank the song Warhearts, Wraith within, Taste of my scythe, Black Widow, And compare it with anything off of HCDR, doesn't have that raw feel to it.... It was they're turning point to more of a new mainstream American type Metal. Sure is making them money. But lost alot of die hard old school metalhead Bodom fans.

Hatebreeder, in my opinion, is there best album. I think of them as nothing but sellouts now.

I never understand why people would listen to a bands newest release when checking them out. I always start on the debut album when checking out a band I dont know about. It really bugs me how people say they like a band and don't know how it started and evolved (in some cases devolved) to what it is. This is the best album since Follow the Reaper in my opinion.

@fallen6968 First off: To me, renewal of a bands' sound is the exact opposite of sellout. Take Slayer for example, they're playing the same music now as they did when they first started out. To me, that is 'safing' and feeding the fans exactly what they want. They're unwilling to change anything out of fear of alienating their fanbase/stop selling records. Now THAT is sellout! You can't blame COB because they can afford better productions or because they're renewing their sound. It's not sellout

But I think Slayer really changed their style, compare Reign In Blood or Season in The Abyss with Christ Illusion, I can easily see a difference im not talking about the recording or the studio quality but the writing of the album... But for COB, IN GENERAL, I think the real COB fans are still listening to them but the Melodic Death Metal fans only appreciate their older stuff I think that's the difference.

I used to be a huge fan of Bodom until there album Are You Dear Yet? came out. Then I kind of lost interest with there corny sounding line line I dont give a flying f**k. Hopefully this album can get me to listen to them and see them live without me wanting to kill all the scrub kids that only know their new songs and never listened to their older albums from something wild or hatebreeder. So far so good except for the slight effect on the vocals. Unless that's the video
