Cricket and Gentlemen's game is a oxymoron. It has NEVER been a gentlemen's game, maybe some assume but no it is not. They all cheat and sledge and this goes back to the beginning.
As long as you are within the laws of the game it is fair play................it is the batsman's job to be careful after playing a shot and also while backing up......................in fact what Gavaskar did was disgraceful because there was no third umpire at that time and hence u have to accept the umpire's decision..
i refuse kapil being labelled a bad boy for this incident. i hv watched the macth live and i distictly remember kapil dev warning and cautioning kirsten about backing up too far at least twice before he actually ran him out. but kirsten made a show of the whle matter and kapil was hit on the shin by one of the safricans.... dont remember who. if we try to find out faults, there could be many and it is always better to look at these incidents as 'falls from grace' by all these great achievers
i don't see anything wrong with what went on. you play for a win at all costs. however i do have to laugh at the hypocrosy of indians on here. if these were australian players doing these things, then they would be screaming cheats and bad sportmanship. nothing that happened in the sydney test that they go on about is worse than these actions.
@MrNoahDeer I'll tell you what's unsportsmanlike, mate -- abusing people on the field, sledging, personal comments about wives and mothers That's much, much worse than any of what we saw in the video. McGrath and Warne were masters of that kind of stuff. Great players no doubt, but not role models as to how the game should be played. I don't have anything against Australian people -- I think you guys are the chillest people on earth, but you can't deny what Warne/McGrath got up to.
@adi87tya and indian cricketers were just as bad as australians. you can't deny that. but the point is sledging is perfectly acceptable. if you are not man enough to let it run off your back then you have no right to represent the country. unsportsmanlike would be to not do everything you can within the rules to win. "if you want to announce to the world that your father has raised a son that is a little bit timid, then go and play tennis, go and play another sport."
@MrNoahDeer I have nothing wrong with someone calling me weak. But talking about race, religion, sexuality, family, you're opening a can of worms. If you're talking about the Harbhajan-Symonds incident, Symonds apparently taunted Harbhajan by making a gay joke about him, since he'd patted Brett Lee on the backside (I guess because he had bowled well). So Harbhajan came back with a slur that was interpreted as racial.
@adi87tya no, you are wrong. anything goes. if you can't take someone from the opposition saying they fucked your mother last night while high fiving your father, and then go and have a beer with them at the end of the game then it is you who are being unsportmanslike. gavaskar was a hard nut on the field, a bit of a jerk, but apparently a great bloke to have a beer with. the current crop are not like that
Guys if you know Cricket you will know about Gavaskar he was one of the rare breed who would not wait for Umpire's decision..... I have seen this Lillee Gavaskar episode time and again there was a thick edge........ Australian TV showed it in the evening. Gavaskar was walking out after his display of displeasure but when he was going someone commented that was the time he decided to take Chauhan with him....
I'm English but still think that this is utter nonsense!! That action was perfectly legal when Kapil Dev did it, nothing wrong with that. Many batsmen refuse to walk, look at Mike Gatting against Pakistan, it goes on all of the time. As for unsportsman like run outs, search for Brendan McCullum of New Zealand. To say that sub-continent players messed up the sporting etiquete of cricket is complete stupidity.
Kapil did nothing wrong... infact, i see no reason to warn batsman twice to stay in crease, kapil shudve ran him out the very first time. It's like wicketkeeper not stumping the batsman twice & just warning him to stay in crease. Gavaskar's behaviour was certainly uncalled for.
walkiing off was uncalled for but the way bowler behaved was also not gentlemanly. if a batsman is resenting why the F you have to ask the batsmen to leave. Just shut the F up and go back to your mark to bowl.
It's sad to hear the tone this video has been made in. Extremely prejudiced and covering up the whole truth. It's even sadder that it comes from Dawn News, a Pakistani channel.
What followed was really disgraceful. Kirsten disagreed to leave the pitch(a la Gavaskar!!) and then his capn' Wessels showed finger to Kapil and later on hit Kapilss shin with the bat.!!!!(Refer Wisden Almanack report)
BTW, this dismissal was not the first of its kind - thr were 4 already in the same manner in tests alone. 2 of them by the gentlemanly elite England Teams!!!
@leomacmangmail you are absolutely right..this is called 'mankaded'...after indian cricketer vinoo mankad who first dismissed a batsman after repetitive warning! :)
The superb umpire Whitehead whom the host board insisted onusing for all 3 tests had a distinguished carrer of 4 TESTs in total!!!! But still all think Shakoor Rana was the worst!!!!
3. Kapil's incident - I absolutely see no problems.... Peter Kirsten was trying to get an unfair advantage by starting to backup before the bowler entered his delivery stride. Kapil had warned Kirsten in 3 earlier matches(see wisden) - one of them a tour match and ran him out in the same manner in that.
the umpire involved in the incident is Rex Whitehead - who debuted in that series. Even after the heavy criticisms and complaints from the tourists, the hosts decided to continue with Whitehead for the entire Series!!! by the end of test 2, whitehead managed seven highly controversial decisions, all which interestingly against India. This riled up the indian camp. Add to that the choice of words that Lille might have used when Gavaskar was returning to Pavillion - he acted lik human!!!
1. Miandad incident - Yep the incident is disgraceful but the backround not given to the user is Hogg's run-ins with Pakis in that tour - he was no saint and was infamous for even detacting his cap'n.
I dont want to justify Miandad's actions but he was merely retaliating to earlier incidents.
2. Again I dont want to justify the silly actions of Gavaskar - but this series also has history. This was played before the time of neutral umpiring.
The very romanticized concept of Gentleman's game is the creation of the English cricket writers of yore and their followers blindly adhire to it still. Matter of fact it was never gentlemanly - here are some examples.

2. Treatment of Duleep Singh by Jardine in Bodyline Series.('32 - 33)
3. Grovel comment by Tony Greig before '76 WI tour of Eng.
4. THE HIGHLIGHT - After getting bowled, WG Grace put the bails back on and proceeded to bat. YEAH CLASS!!!
Just to point to the prejudiced nature of commentary give special attention to the phrase - "easternised once gentleman's game - point to the word easternised - he is using that word easternised like an antonym for gentlemanly nature - so eastern means non-gentlemanly and rogue!!!
By his accent - I feel he is south asian - maybe someone who lives in the old colonial world, thinking anything old pompous pommies did was right.
this video is the best example of how you can use visual media to misdirect facts and mislead the viewer - by providing semicooked half truths. 90% viewers are agreeing to the host without actually trying to see the facts. The commentator is either grossly ignorant or is highly partial - and some of his prejudiced wording leads me to believe its more the latter than former.
i am a pakistani and as much as i believe that australians some times do let thier integrity down on a cricket pitch, I honestly think that Sunil over reacted there. Dere was no need 4 that emotional protest.
As for the Miandad run out, Marsh was a fool 2 shatter the stumps. Same reaction today and u can get a 20 match ban.
Gavaskar's reaction was plain petulance. There may have been an umpiring error, but to make a fuss over that error was just not acceptable (which is not to say that Lillee's conduct was excusable). As for Kapil, I don't see how it qualifies as 'bad behaviour', seeing as Kirsten- clearly in error- started abusing Kapil who was well within his rights to do so.
Good on Miandad... this is the sportsman spirit every cricketer should show the Australians. Anything within the confines of the game should be used against them. It is because of people like Mushtaq Mohammad that Pakistan struggled in those days, he tried to play the gentleman's way against a pack of mongrels, Imran Khan was better. Miandad was the first Asian to truly stand up for himself, without him there would be no Harbhajhan, Ranatunga, Sangakkara, Shahid Afridi, Wasim Akram etc.
mandkat is in the rules of cricket, and warnings were given, but come on, how desperate is that??? the game was played by gentleman, now, as they say, batsmen not walking, dropped catches appealled.
if gavasker was given wrong out so wats the big deal? he has no right to protest on giving wrong out,so disgrace ful this is,and more than that he took his partner with him,Bad behaviour.
well Kapil dev is very good player and very good human ..he warned that player 4 times ..Dont know what happened with Sunil coz he is also very calm person( And I m Pakistani,Coz like us most of indian thinks that we always have bad things about their players which is wrong, most of us both indian and paki dont express that but u want or not u haf to love a good player)
come on, you can clearly see, Gavaskar was shouting and pointing to his bat that he hit the ball and Lilee immediately touched the spot on his knee to show where the ball hit him.
Of course Gavaskar was whining about the lbw to the umpire. Which was bad - but then the standards for dissent were different in those days. And he was walking off. But he started walking back to the crease to get Chauhan (the other opener). Something did happen during the time he started walking to pavillion and the time he started walking back to the pitch to Chauhan. See the full clip "Gavaskar throws toys out of the pram" on youtube. The one here dosen't show the full clip.
aw come on man.. dont tell me that you have never done that to us.. i wont say that we havent done that to you but why cast the first stone when you are not free of sin?
haha because he is a crying son of a bitch. stop defending his bad behaviour you stinky indian cunt. You fags are always complaining about someone...its everybodys fault except yours! suck a dick fuckwit
because he thought that he nicked the ball and he is not out! but he should respect umpire's decision there. the main reason for that incident is there were no strict laws in place as compared to todays. no body can cheat and get away with it now in front of cameras.
England,Aussie,Kiwis and the bum licking Windies had always controlled the ICC..it's time the ICC should be shifted to the sub-continent 'coz the real cricket is played here....I worship Ganguly,Kapil,Tendulkar as much I worship Imran,Wasim and Aravinda De Silva..I strongly feel that THERE SHD BE WARS MORE OFTEN BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN..BUT NOT ON THE FRONTIERS BUT ON THE FIELDS OF GADDAFI,EDEN GARDENS,KARACHI AND CHINNASWAMY...LONG LIVE SUBCONTINENT CRICKET
@spandan34 what are you complaining about? last time i checked India pretty much own cricket as a whole, just due to the amount of money that they are pouring into the sport (mainly T20).
Brothers, if wars and nations could be won by calling eachothers mothers such horrid things, ud all be generals for sure. Maa behan ka rishta muqaddas hai chahay wu hidustani ho pakistani ya kaheen ki bhi... izzat karo tu izzat hogee.. SubhanAllah
Gavaskar called Chetan Chauhan back because of what Lillee had said and not because of the decision. Gavaskar later regretted having done that as he says in 'Idols'. And btw, the Australian team under Ian Chappel in the early 70s was really responsible for the all the rudeness and gamesmanship we see today. It all started then.
yeah well ENGLISH IS NOTHING SPECIAL....you cross the english fucking channel and ur next door french neighbours dont even know what english is.....same for the rest of europe.....you british bastards make english a fucking big deal
yeah we dont know english and we dont need to because our hardwork speaks volumes
stop this bad boy nonsense...this is a highly competitive game between countries...and it is only players of high calibre who want to win at any cost that show their temper and anger this way...
everyone does it whether aussie brit paki or injun

what about Inzamam ul Fuck in 2006 Oval test? What about that terrorist Javed Miandad in this video? What about Afridi tampered the pitch against England? How about your Porki drug addict bowlers ?
Well, it's unfair to link Kapil's actions in that one-day match with the first two. The truth is that bad sportsmanship has taken place on all sides. Bad sportsmanship is pathetic, no matter how talented the sportsman. However, bad sportsmanship always carries a hidden cost: a mind that prizes the momentary 'success' of getting its own way unsportingly higher than playing a game in its proper spirit cannot find rest or fulfilment. Still, lovely heave to deep midwicket from Gavaskar here!
ha! I've just watched it again and revised my opinion. The only real piece of unsportsmanlike behaviour is Javed's run out. Gavaskar's is simply a display of temper. Nothing wrong in that, besides the embarrassment that it really shouldn't happen. Besides, why does the commentator excuse Rodney Hogg's display of temper and not Sunil's? And I stick by what I said: Kapil had warned his man twice before - he was well within his rights. None of these are 'dishonest'. There's much worse out there.
i see no difference between miandad's and kapil's actions in this video. both outs were legal but equally against the spirit of the game. sure there's much worse out there -- chappell's underarm incident for example. this video is pointless.
There is lot of difference between those 2 dismissals my friend as kapil, i still remember warning peter kirsten to stay in the crease while he approaches the wicket...he warned him twice, then he had no choice unlike in miandad's case, where it was not in the spirit of cricket. Sorry dude.
Take your tongue out of Kapil's ass. Why was it against the spirit of the game? If the ball is not dead and the fool is out of the crease he can be stumped. That's like saying it is against the spirit of the game to be stumped on a wide. Every time an Aussie cheats or doesn't walk when he is out IS NOT against the spirit of the game? You need both sides to play in the spirit NOT ONE.
Well done Miandad and that Australian princess with her temper tantrums can go and sulk in the changing room.
@leggie2112 As a cricket and a sportsmen in general, you are supposed to accept the umpires decision. Disputing that then taking his opening partner with him off the field is definitely unsportsmanlike behaviour and I think very poor. Hogg had more of a reason to be angry than Gavaskar, imagine the feeling of playing a good shot, getting ran out, getting sent back by the captain then told he was out again by the umpire, that would make most people very unhappy to say the least.
it does not matter who started it but who follows the suit.look at the australian porks jus' cryin like little babies for a wicket or a not out appeal refer to Ashes match in which English had drawn.......maybe english were also wrong in maintaining the spirit of the game;
then came the infamous monkey gate scandal;
then indo-pak rivalry;
then pak-umpire tiff at the infamous Oval;
obviously Asian teams got involved but see what at the other side, the "SO CALLED GENTLEMEN OR THE BADBOYS".
Yaap we cheat we lie but we perform got it no matter the shit world say abt us whether we are pushed to corner by the biggest shit BCCCI the most garbage thinking board but still we love the game caz we have given so much to this game caz we belive its our game as well
''Myownmedia'' - the user seems to have read some stats and numbers which signify nothing apart from the fact that you are very passionate in your attempt to humiliate India . Your statement confirms that no matter how educated a Pakistani is, most of them still have no class , tolerance and are filled with envy and jealousy of seeing how their neighbour has emerged as a significant country among world economies. Pakistan is still the migraine that is the root cause of all problems now
To kamibitts : U Pakistanis dont have the education to speak about anything else apart from f***ing your mums, sisters and ur sisters in laws ! Its so common in ur society and u have only the class to end any reasonable discussion at that particular point or bring religion into every damn thing .
what a shame for kapil dev fucking loser he cudnt get them out any other fashion y the fuck he was doing that shitty thing ......Imran khan is the best captain no one can beat him
Dost yahan bhi india or pakistan ki ladai ko le aaye ho.....Yaar Imran was no doubt the better captain...however kapil was right in getting Kirsten out in that match....he'd warned him twice before for leaving the crease too early. ....baki bhai mere koi bhi insaan dhoodh ka dhula nahi hota.....chahe wo indian ho ya fir pakistani
kapil's case was totally genuine. gavaskar on the other hand, lol silly and funny. like kids he wanted to protest the umpire's decision by boycotting game 0o
gavaskar was as unsportsmanlike as you could get on that occasion but like you said Kapil had a genuine case. He warned him repeatedly and told him to watch his step. I dont see why these idiots commenting in here are up in arms about that.
Guess the guy who made the video has never seen a coin with two sides ;)..and for the insecure boys who think typin abuses they've had thrown at them over the years here makes them look clever, keep it up...right up...cheers!!!
nope i disagree... theres a game going on its like being stumped for stepping out! rules are rules... the ball wasnt dead or anything he can b run out for that... he can garden the part of the pitch thats within his crease
Y'know, all you correspondents would be far more effective in your arguments and insults if you learned to spell. Most of us simply can NOT take you seriously. You write like eight-year-olds. It's a basic skill. Cultivate it. Or go back to throwing mud at each other.
nothing is wrong with all these players what they have done is according to law and umpires agree with them so whats problem with u mate i think sumthing is wrong in yr head go and c yr doctor or remove yr crap

fuck you teadyyar you smelly indian cunt. you shower in human feces and have sex with your sister - thus you have no say in this matter. man currys are shit
Yeah and what about Aussies what are they then.? Oh, have you guys won anything after your India tour.. hmm i think you did didn't you? A game with the Kiwi's...haha talk about sore loosers. Now like a true ex-criminal aussie pup23nemo will get all worked up and write about how aussies are not ex-criminals and how sucking ponting's cock is not shameful.. go on kid..!! Suck it all you want.
Say "Kamasutra" and your women will never know you guys exist. Keep rocking..!! As they say Ignorance is bliss..!! Live in ignorance..!! Criminals are good at that...lol
its the nature of the indians they are fairly arrogant and always want things their own way and when they dont they threaten to not play.that is very soft and the wrong way to go about things but in all honesty look around all tha vids and tell me they are not the biggest offenders.and the majority of the conflicts are india vs pakistan for obvious reasons because of tension between the countries but im just sick of hearing that the aussies and england are bad sports.
the aussies english safrica windies pretty much everyone play each other with no real dramas just sledging thats how cricket is,but india always take things to another level if u watch u very rarely find vids of these teams actually getting in each others faces except against india
i made this vdo SHOWING that we, Indians & Pakistanis, can be AS BAD AS THEM. What seemed RACIST to you .... Was there ever any batsman to hit last bowl six? anyone to cross 34 centuries? anyone to emulate Kapil? ......As everyone knows of their good side...I have tried to show WHEN THEY ARE BAD, THEY ARE HORRID....You want to see the aluminium bat clip of lillie? which is easily accesible....or u want to see Atherton rubbing sand to the ball? come on......grow up
In the video when the narrator says that 'easternising the gentlemen's game' there seems to be a tacit implication that its class has been brought down. That, to me, sounds like a distinctly racist statement.
Additionally, 3 cricketers of Asian descent have been shown to supposedly bring the game to "disrepute". Do I even need to mention the numerous instances of the Aussies and the English playing the gentlemen's game in not so gentlemanly manner?
this reporter needs to get of tha white man's dick, australians have done much more discraceful acts then us paki's and indians.fukin lost reporters biost against his own people.
javed miandad dint do any wrong !!! when people can walk away saying they aint out lolz !!! how shit is that... gavaskar proved to be shit and kapil dev was an arse too... we all know it !!!!...
as for sledging the aussies started it and now indians master it... look at sreesanth he is such a dick knob.... no wonder harbhagan banged him in the middle... that was hilarious... hahahaha
Kapil Dev warned him many time not to do it. I remember this match it was friendship series India invited SA for home series after apartheid was lifted from them. Mr Dev was justified on doing that. Why don't we have Alumimium and underball incident here
Yes atlast... someone that knows more about this game... Thank you! The underball incident and the Aluminium was my much worse than this shit... and yet its not in this video.
Gavaskar got bad decisions in whole series and why does Mr Denis L has to touch him ? And umpires didn't do anything. That was insult Sunny did correct thing, infact India won the match
hahahaha denis L shouldnt of touched sunny agreed. but to say Sunny did the correct thing. why doesnt that surprise me. most indian fans would agree with you. sunny is the biggest knob in world cricket.........indians need to toughen up. they are soft cry babies thats why the british conquered india without any problems.
fair enough. agree really respect Gandhi etc for not using violence and still kicking us out. what pisses me off with Indians fans is the racist. they are so racist its not funny. if something happens to them then its all out war but if something happens to a white player well they claim its part of the game.....and sunny well dont get me started on him...
Totally agree with you on the racist bit. It was the british who brought this game to our shores and its fascinating to see how popular it has become. Some of us who learn to play the game are taught to play it in the right spirit and its sickening to see players misbehave like this. Sledging is not considered to be a part of the game. Earlier generation of Indian cricketers rarely hit back blatantly(unlike recent times). It seems to me that Indians are just adapting to the circumstances
gandhi dint kick u out...he was a fukin british muppet....thz disrespect to the people who gave their lives.....ask the minorities gandhi was a racist british bitch.
sunny did the wrong thing in fact if his batting partner had gone off the field he shuda been given out too!
wat miandad did was okay i think... it wasnt worse than wat mccullum did to murali! in fact after the captain withdrew the appeal it was the umpire who gave him out
kapil should not hav gotten angry but u can argue whether he shuda ran kirsten out or on as he was already in his bowling stride!
yea he should have let kirsten continue to move out of the crease even before he delivered the balls so that he can save 4-5 yards each time they go for scampering between the wickets...NOT!! That would have been stupid. Theres a reason why its perfectly legal to do what he did and stop trying to demonize it. I'd say Kapil was definitely gentlemanly in giving Peter Kirsten 3-4 warnings prior to actually flicking off the bails.
Not only Hogg's best shot of the match, but best of his career. One of the most useless batters ever!

Same reaction today and u can get a 20 match ban.
hasanmatloob 1 year ago

Miandad was the first Asian to truly stand up for himself, without him there would be no Harbhajhan, Ranatunga, Sangakkara, Shahid Afridi, Wasim Akram etc.

gavaskar later told that he left the ground because of the bad sledging of dennis lilly not by the umpires decision
levinat619 1 year ago
factually incorrect. Gavaskar did not walk off because he was adjudged lbw. he walked off because some aussie made a racial taunt on his way back.
gatesrocks 1 year ago 4
@gatesrocks
come on, you can clearly see, Gavaskar was shouting and pointing to his bat that he hit the ball and Lilee immediately touched the spot on his knee to show where the ball hit him.
sirfcricket 1 year ago
Of course Gavaskar was whining about the lbw to the umpire. Which was bad - but then the standards for dissent were different in those days. And he was walking off. But he started walking back to the crease to get Chauhan (the other opener). Something did happen during the time he started walking to pavillion and the time he started walking back to the pitch to Chauhan. See the full clip "Gavaskar throws toys out of the pram" on youtube. The one here dosen't show the full clip.

Still, lovely heave to deep midwicket from Gavaskar here!
leggie2112 2 years ago 3
There's much worse out there.
leggie2112 2 years ago 22
i see no difference between miandad's and kapil's actions in this video. both outs were legal but equally against the spirit of the game. sure there's much worse out there -- chappell's underarm incident for example. this video is pointless.
KyokushinStudent 2 years ago
There is lot of difference between those 2 dismissals my friend as kapil, i still remember warning peter kirsten to stay in the crease while he approaches the wicket...he warned him twice, then he had no choice unlike in miandad's case, where it was not in the spirit of cricket. Sorry dude.
saravangolla 2 years ago
Take your tongue out of Kapil's ass. Why was it against the spirit of the game? If the ball is not dead and the fool is out of the crease he can be stumped. That's like saying it is against the spirit of the game to be stumped on a wide. Every time an Aussie cheats or doesn't walk when he is out IS NOT against the spirit of the game? You need both sides to play in the spirit NOT ONE.
Well done Miandad and that Australian princess with her temper tantrums can go and sulk in the changing room.
Gr8Candid8 2 years ago 5
@leggie2112 Sure, Gavasker was a player full of sportsman spirit. Also, the manner in which Kapil ran out the batsman is not called "mankuding".
gujranwala2001 8 months ago
@leggie2112 As a cricket and a sportsmen in general, you are supposed to accept the umpires decision. Disputing that then taking his opening partner with him off the field is definitely unsportsmanlike behaviour and I think very poor. Hogg had more of a reason to be angry than Gavaskar, imagine the feeling of playing a good shot, getting ran out, getting sent back by the captain then told he was out again by the umpire, that would make most people very unhappy to say the least.
TheDLPVideos 6 months ago

its the nature of the indians they are fairly arrogant and always want things their own way and when they dont they threaten to not play.that is very soft and the wrong way to go about things but in all honesty look around all tha vids and tell me they are not the biggest offenders.and the majority of the conflicts are india vs pakistan for obvious reasons because of tension between the countries but im just sick of hearing that the aussies and england are bad sports.

Do I even need to mention the numerous instances of the Aussies and the English playing the gentlemen's game in not so gentlemanly manner?

fair enough. agree really respect Gandhi etc for not using violence and still kicking us out. what pisses me off with Indians fans is the racist. they are so racist its not funny. if something happens to them then its all out war but if something happens to a white player well they claim its part of the game.....and sunny well dont get me started on him...
msduicp 3 years ago
Totally agree with you on the racist bit. It was the british who brought this game to our shores and its fascinating to see how popular it has become. Some of us who learn to play the game are taught to play it in the right spirit and its sickening to see players misbehave like this. Sledging is not considered to be a part of the game. Earlier generation of Indian cricketers rarely hit back blatantly(unlike recent times). It seems to me that Indians are just adapting to the circumstances

sunny did the wrong thing in fact if his batting partner had gone off the field he shuda been given out too!
wat miandad did was okay i think... it wasnt worse than wat mccullum did to murali! in fact after the captain withdrew the appeal it was the umpire who gave him out
kapil should not hav gotten angry but u can argue whether he shuda ran kirsten out or on as he was already in his bowling stride!
steveig 3 years ago
yea he should have let kirsten continue to move out of the crease even before he delivered the balls so that he can save 4-5 yards each time they go for scampering between the wickets...NOT!! That would have been stupid. Theres a reason why its perfectly legal to do what he did and stop trying to demonize it. I'd say Kapil was definitely gentlemanly in giving Peter Kirsten 3-4 warnings prior to actually flicking off the bails.
