And it says a lot about how you yourself feel about the matter since that is the ONLY part of a lot of comments I made that you have chosen to be upset about. It's not malicious, just true. Try looking into the documentary Forks Over Knives. You'll understand more and free yourself into great health and then won't have to go around telling everyone how self righteous they are.

oh man this is awesome but i couldnt help but cringe and waiting for her bones to crack or her spine to pop and go paralized. even though i know it wont happen so dont go crazy on my comment i was just exspressing what i was feeling watching the video. i get scared of the dark im just saying im always nervous and scared . anyways i love her work !! great job!! she looks amazing if it will keep me that trim like her and flexible and healthy forever till i die i wana do it to!!!!!!!!!!

@choudhury8 Namaste Choudhury. Name callers and self haters. Im sorry you feel bad inside. Maybe check out what Yoga really is by attending one of my classes or workshops. Then, if you don't like it, you could call me names to my face, and guess what? I wouldn't care. I've been teaching for most of my adult life now, lived at an ashram, studying the Gita, Upanishads, everything by Sivananda, Vishnudevananda, Vivekananda.  Meditation and prayer will bring you to Yoga, not this crap. OMMM.

@ErinnE3 I kind of agree. I don't know why, but part of me just felt sorry for this lady. It's like she became too old to be a gymnast - and has sourced another very routine based way of exhibiting her flexibility. This really doesn't come across as trying to find any form of inner enlightenment. Even if she was doing this on a mountainside, she still has such a sad look in her eyes. Kind of like a Tiger who's been trained to do tricks for the circus.

Thank you for this! I am on my 60 day Bikram challenge and it has inspired me to keep going to be the best I can be. People who say that yoga competitions are wrong I have to disagree with. I think it is just a display of how committed and determined each competitor is to achieve their goals. Well done Brandy. I am going to try more in this evenings class!

I feel sad seeing this. Yoga is not a competition. Its not even about the asana so much. Asana are used to tone and purify the body, to open spiritual channels for God...not for competition. Im so glad my first teacher taught me what yoga really is and I wasn't misguided into this kind of ego driven business. Bikram 'yoga' is not yoga and Ive said it since i took his classes 10 years ago.

@ErinnE3 saying that "bikram yoga is not yoga" is ridiculous. Just because it doesn't fit into your narrow minded definition of yoga doesn't mean bikram yoga isn't valid. Do you say this of the Sivananda style too? Sivananda is where Bikram's originates.

@outahand Ridiculous is really going quite dramatically far...the Saint and Master Swami Sivananda and Sir Bikram obviously took very different paths in their interpretation of what Yoga is. Swami Sivananda had no rolex's or rolls royce's either. Had he, he would have given them away to someone who needed them. He didn't aspire to be great, that's why he was so great. I just believe that competition in Yoga defeats it's very purpose. And in your heart you know it too. Om Namah Sivaya!!
