A number of people have been severely injured (one even killed) at his previous retreats. Why weren't people warned? As for all his great "wealth":
"Ray himself has touted his wealth, estimated at $10 million in 2009, and success in media interviews and on his Web site. But documents obtained by The Associated Press from the court show Ray is severely in debt with a net worth of NEGATIVE $4.2 MILLION."
To anyone watching this video who is a follower of James Ray or any others similar to him...
These people don't have the answers for you. Humanity has been contemplating it's own existence for thousands of years, and no one really knows the answers. If they say they do, they are trying to sell you something.
I believed in these types of people once too, and it got me nowhere, except a little wiser after I left them behind.
You can't buy enlightenment, no matter how good your intentions are.
@71savages - Eckhart is pretty good. I do like what he says. Silence and stillness. Very nice. Anyone else? selling fortune and success and postive thinking along with all the universe's answers seems to be pretty shady.
James Ray was the gatekeeper of the door...which means he was getting the most fresh air, the bastard! He needs to rot in jail for the rest of his life.
I am carefully adding that this is stinks of cult association. Again the charismatic leader is unavailable for accepting responsibility. This strikes a very similar chord with the "Heavens Gate" cult in that the rules for entering or exiting were strickly controlled. Briefly, this is a very cheap looking venue is given for those paying nearly $10k each. We all need to go to a hot tub now and again. Anyone should be able to do this without a cult leader driving them!
maybe he just wasn't visualizing enough or doing enough positive thinking; the new age stuff is SO DANGEROUS and total b.s. trace its history to the gnostics, the occult, and it is essentially intended to open yourself up to satan and demonic spirits and end your relationship with christ through confusion and you are lead by your own selfish desires instead of through christ and the word of god
james arthur ray is a devil worshipper like many other new agers. he was performing a human sacrifice to satan during his retreat for more power and wealth. he has made millions of dollars by preying on people desperate for happiness, a sense of spirituality, money, great relationships, etc. and charging them thousands to hear him speak and then do these peculiar, satanic rituals like this mass homicide. unfortunately these people were looking in the wrong place for truth.
Love the teaching not the Teacher. I rather be mentored by Tony Robbins or ... Beyonce.

Check wiki for Ray's REAL "Secret":

It's amazing to think that Ray was rich, famous, and on top of the world, then in a MOMENT it all came crashing down around him.
There may be many people burning his books.

I don't think there's any mention of Ray performing satanic rituals.
I think he's a man whose ego got the better of him. Just a man.
